A family celebration at Le Riad was a comfortable, relaxed and delicious affair. Service was quietly attentive and the food.......was wonderful. The staff paid close attention to our various requests for dishes to suit all members of our group and cheerfully helped with presenting a celebration cake with no fuss and at a very reasonable charge.

A fine feed to be sure! I went here with my wife and daughter just because I liked the look of the place. We walked into a room that oozed morrocco, from the bedoin tent and the brass and wood morrocan cage light fittings to the shesha pipes at the bar. Then cam the menu - fine veriety of foods, tagines, seafoods, dip platters and some of the finest turkish delight i have eaten outside of turkey. We ordered a rage of dishes and not one of those disapointed. My daughter went safe with a garlic type prawn dish. the prawns were cooked to perfection, sweet and tender! we also ordered a couple of tagines that were to die for. the cost for the three of us was very reasonable at about $80 including drinks. The service was Ok but I expect that when full this could be a problem. The food was delivered fairly quickly so there wasn't a too longer wait. They do sheesha too if you interested but we didn't take this optioon on the night. All in all this is a highly reccomended place to have a nice feed.

My wife and I had a very poor experience here. Upon our arrival it took them five minutes to realise we were standing there waiting to be seated. They sat us down but then didn't bring menus. I waited ten minutes, still no menu so I went to the back of the restaurant and grabbed them myself. The waitress saw me do this and apologised and I thought that would embarrass her into action but it didn't. The menu looked great and whet my appetite. We soon decided what we wanted but no one came to take our order. We had to wave to get their attention then eventually they came. By now we had been inside for best part of thirty minutes without even being served a drink. We ordered and then we waited and waited and waited. An hour later we asked where the food was to be told 'its coming.' Ten minutes later still no food so we got up and were about to go next door for fish and chips when they arrived with one dish. It was the chicken tanjine which I soon found out should have been advertised as chicken wing tanjine. The dish contained just four chicken wings with just a couple of small scraps of meat on them. This dish is listed on the menu as a main course dish and priced at 22 dollars. It is not a main course, it is an 8 dollar entree at best. With this my wife and I got up and left. I have never walked out of a restaurant before in my life! Oh well first time for everything!! Nice fish and chips next door by the way.
