“Very interesting”

Walked through the free exhibition, which was quite interesting. Nice to go for a walk through the Botanic Gardens afterwards.

“Stunning location and views”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

The centre is very simple in design and set out to really make the most of the garden setting.
The only drawback I noted was upstairs there were only 4 ladies loos, which would be an issue for a very large conference, and the Gallery Room where we had our breakfast forum had stunning views but the sun was beaming in so hard that the blinds had to be drawn so we could see the speakers!

“Wedding at the Wine Centre”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We had our wedding at the National Wine Centre and it couldn't have gone better. It was a cocktail menu with a 4 hour drinks package. The food was fantastic and there was more than enough to eat. We had an hour of finger food and then anti pasto platters brought out. It fed 60 people happily. The staff were lovely, and very helpful. We really appreciated how accommodating they were. We used The Vines function room which had a great feeling and plenty of space.

Thoroughly recommended.

“Good for events, but not a real attraction.”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

The exhibition/self guided tour is pitiful. If you really want to learn about wine, you are better off at Penfolds Magill Estate.

But there's good food (and what seems like a pretty reception that is set up in one of the halls, so I suppose it's a great place for events).

But if you are a visitor to the city, just looking for a places to visit, you can drop this from your itinerary. If you are the museum/exhibition type, go to the South Australian Museum or the Art museum... if it's the wine education, Penfolds will be it.
