“Perfect base in Adelaide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and loved it! We stayed in a standard King Room, for a great price compared to other city hotels and having stayed in a lot of different hotels, this was by far one of my favourite rooms. It was a great sized room, plenty of space to move about and store our suitcase without tripping over it. The bathroom was big and the shower was heaven, although there was no recess and we did have a minor flood each time we showered. A tip- point the shower head towards the wall to avoid flooding!! The only other downside to the bathroom, was not having a vanity to put toiletries on. There was a small shelf above the sink, but this didn't hold too much. We were visiting during the intense heatwave and the air conditioner was a life saver- was such relief to have some respite from the heat in our lovely room. A decent size TV in the room. We stayed in room 110, which was right next to the lifts and across from the guest laundry, so we did hear some people traffic at times, but not enough to be annoying.

In terms of location, I doubt there is a better place to stay to explore downtown Adelaide. The hotel is located about 50m from Rundle Street, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs to check out. About a 5 mins walk gets you to Rundle Mall, the main shopping precinct, where you'll find Woolworths and Coles supermarkets. A short walk around the corner to Grenfell street, will bring you to the bus stop where you can hop on the free 99C city bus. This is a great way to get around and get your bearings.

We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again!

Room clean, quiet and with modern and stylish decor, the bed large and comfortable. Reception staff very friendly. We did not have breakfast so we do not know how it is, we stayed 2 nights as a base for a tour to kangarro island.

I stayed here late December for 2 nights, partly based on reviews here but also got a good price. Check in was easy, friendly and professional, upon entering the room I was instantly impressed, I have stayed in quite a few hotels in Australia and in this price bracket they are usually average at best. As its name implies, its majestic! room was modern, well furnished, lovely bathroom and comfy bed and pillows, I cannot fault it.Although complimentary bottle/s of water would be a nice touch, charging $4 for a 600ml bottle is a bit excessive, still, nobody is forcing me to buy it, and all around Adelaide there are water fountains so its no big deal really.Good consistent wifi, excellent location with all the eateries nearby, please try the Thai joint, Cafe michael 2 on Rundle street just up from the hotel, it was the best Tom kha gai outside of Thailand I have had. I wouldn't look anywhere else when I return to Adelaide, I had a great stay.

This hotel's location a short stroll from the hip end of Adelaide's CBD gives it a distinct edge. My wife, sister-in law and I stayed here one night in a two room self contained apartment. Could not fault the room facilities. Our king size bed was super comfortable.

But....there is always a but, albeit a small but! Reference to "majestic roof garden" in the hotel's name is a bit misleading. It is nothing more than a narrow terrace with a few tables and chairs. I was genuinely expecting a roof top bar and garden! If only this hotel had a roof top bar and garden it would get the extra star from me. Having said that staff told us we could order room service and bar service, but its not the same.

Great location (plenty of restaurants, cafes nearby). Beds were soft and comfortable. Water pressure in showers was good. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very good value for the room.

Property was well maintained. Hotel restaurant itself is highly rated. The rooftop was a wonderful area to rest/relax. And the service was fast and friendly. It also looks like the hotel received a recent renovation as the wood trim/details all looked new.

No complaints about this property and we would stay here again.

A lovely hotel in a great location, walking distance to everything in the CBD, no need for the car. A short walk to the car park if self parking, but not a drama for us. The room was very modern, comfortable and "spotlessly clean". I really liked the South Australian mini bar, it was a nice touch.
Very quiet and comfortable nights sleep. Would stay here again.

I've been staying here about once a month or more for the past 14 years. Can't fault the place. Great staff, very comfortable rooms, amazing value, great location. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Adelaide by choice.
