Stayed for business on this trip, located in quiet part of town, rooms fantastic. If you want excellent rooms, this is the place to stay in Adelaide, great bedding, great rooms, great shower. We booked two night package that included buffet breakfast. Rendezvous is in a quiet location in Adelaide, where arguably everything is quiet anyway. The only thing that lets this thing down was its food (breakfast) and beverage service. Breakfast was slow to get into the room, lack of food and beverages. Going to a quiet drink at the bar, we were let down, run out of popular drinks, and closed way too early.

Room Tip: Go for higher levels, lower levels have traffic noise.

We stayed here using a voucher - sometimes having a voucher means you get less service - not with this hotel - check in very efficient and friendly, we used the valet service and while it cost extra it was well worth it, we could access our car as many time as we liked. The room was spacious, clean and well set out. We chose to go to the restaurant and WOW - we used the in-room restaurant 3 course menu and it was so delicious and great value - service staff very attentive. Our overall experience was very pleasant and enjoyable.

This hotel has everything you expect from a good quality hotel. Toiletries included a shower cap, body lotion and a vanity pack - so often missing from from other hotels and apartments. The room was spacious and well lit, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was large and had a good size separate shower. There was no noise from other rooms but a bit of street noise early in the morning. It was spot on for a classy hotel in a convenient city location at a competitive price.

Stayed for two nights during a weekend stay. Received great service at check in including free upgrade. Room was spacious and clean with good bed and bathroom including separate shower/bath. Water pressure was very good (people who love showers understand!). View on upper levels is great but I would guess the lower levels look directly at adjoining office blocks.

Some small issues spoiled a perfect stay - some hairs in the sink from previous guest, faulty electrical system which blacked out the lights several times per day, strange cubed soap which was hard to use, service directory indicates gym/pool/spa on level four but it is actually on level one. Passing through the lobby a few times I noticed large lines of people checking in with only one person attending to guests which would be annoying after a long drive/flight.

The hotel location is great - close to Adelaide markets, Grote and Gouger streets to the south and Rundle Street Mall to the north. Please forget the expensive hotel restaurant and take a nice walk to some much cheaper and better restaurants in Grote and Gouger Streets. The carpark across the road is much cheaper than the $28 'valet' fee (although closes overnight).

Overall a good stay that could have been great except for some small issues not becoming of a suggested five star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony at check in. Also forget the hotel restaurant/bar. Walk a few blocks to the Adelai...

Planned a week-end away from the kids and booked in at the rendezvous adelaide as friends had suggested it. And what a beautiful hotel that still has character.
We stay at many hotels and many are now too modern and bland, this hotel has a very warm welcoming appeal. We were greeted and check-in was quick, as we arrived earlier than expected.
We decided to dine in the hotel restaurant, which we usually don't do as they tend to be very expensive. So glad we did!
It was also our anniversary, and when we booked a table for dinner i had mentioned it to receive no special treatment but maybe a nice table.
Our perception of restaurants in hotels have changed due to this dining experience we had. The restaurant manager had set up a beautifully set table with candles and flowers, and greeted us with champagne and a congratulations. The details he went to was amazing and totally blew my wife away.
The service was great and attentative, the setting in the restaurant was intimate and relaxing. And the food was at a very good standard.
We will be definetly returning to this hotel, and will have a totally different perspective on hotel restaurants, they are actually quite good.
Thank you to the restaurant team with making our night special. My expectation was exceeded ten folds.
See you all next time.

I stayed overnight on business in this old style hotel located in Adelaide's CBD. The hotel is within walking distance of a wide range of restaurants nearby - I went to and recommend Maya Masala Indian Restraunt on Market Street. On entering the hotel lobby I was assisted by Gary who was friendly and welcoming. Gary offered me a great deal on a full breakfast, wi-fi access and a drink/coffee from the bar - all for around $27.00!! The room was a king size deluxe, had a comfortable bed and was very spacious. An interesting feature in the room was the see-through internal glass wall between the bathroom and the living space - not sure why you would want this feature other than to watch tv from a hot bath. In any case, the glass wall sort of modernises without distracting from the older style character of the room. Breakfast in the morning was great without being extravagant. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again next time I'm in Adelaide.

We stayed here last Saturday night. The rooms are very good for the price. The staff are poorly trained though - we ordered some bubbly and it came without flutes or glasses - which we had to ask for. The staff in the corner bar are very inexperienced; there were only two types of very poor white wine available on the wine list. Also there was quite a bit of noise coming from the street. Still I would go back - great value and great bathrooms and rooms. Tip - join the eclub and you get 5% off. We've done that and also will use for next Melbourne visit.
