My partner and I stayed at the Radisson Playford near the end of the year in 2005. We stayed in the loft suite on the 7th floor. The room was quite spacious and well decorated. The bed upstairs was definitely different, although walking up and down the stairs got tiring after a while. The swimming pool was nice but the spa next to it was a little too chlorinated. The restaurant and bar areas were very nice and the food was pretty good except I found a small part of plastic in mine. The waitress apologised and we received a really yummy dessert free. The staff were all polite and friendly, valet parking was prompt. I would recommend anyone to come here and spend a few cozy nights together.

By any standards the Raddisson Playford is a nice hotel. Situated on North Terrace on the edge of the shopping area it is conveniently situated for some of the more interesting parts of Adelaide such as the historic library, the museum and the parliament building. It is also close to the cricket grounds and opposite the relatively new convention centre and exhibition hall.
The room we were given was comfortable, well equipped and quiet. The dinners served in the moderately sized dining room were of good standard although service was leisurely. Breakfasts were from an extensive buffet, although strangely, at weekends bookings were required - a first for us and presumably caused by the limited size of the facilities.
Town centre hotels often have parking problems but not so the Playford. A multistorey opposite the side entrance and drop of point is very conveniently placed both for valet or self parking. In all a very good place to stay when visiting Adelaide.

Okay Hotel with average everything. Rooms are spacious and modern with all the facilities required. Foyer area comfortable and modern. Staff friendly and helpful. Swimming pool area was good as I had it to myself all day. Close to everything Casino, shops, restaurants, cafes, banks etc..

PROS: Close to everything expecially the Casino.

CONS: A average good style hotel

When I lived in Adelaide, I stayed at the Radisson twice, both as weekend getaways. Both times I booked loft suites. The lofts are lovely - there is a kitchenette, full bathroom and huge living room on the ground floor and a mezzanine level with a king bed with its own tv. The Radisson is also the only place I have ever stayed that had the chocolates on the pillow (and good, imported chocolate too - not the horrible Aussie stuff!)! The first time I stayed myself and my husband had our evening meal there, and my husband was unhappy with his "mixed grill". We complained and were sent a dinner voucher in the post, which was nice. The restaurant is a little expensive by Adelaide standards, and the desserts are TINY but I had a lovely meal. The second time we stayed we used the excellent pool and gym and on returning to our loft suite, found we couldn't get in. After a few minutes watching a staff member wrestle with the door, we were given another room, not a loft, but a suite with a balcony, facing North Terrace. I actually preferred this room, sliding doors led to the bedroom and the balcony was spacious. More importantly, I got chocolates in both rooms, so I did well! The location of the hotel is excellent and there is a public carpark close by if you don't want valet service. The staff were excellent and I have often abused the bar on a Friday night. Good wine and free finger food!

We needed a room with three beds, so they put us in a one bedroom plus loft suite. Beautiful accommodations. The loft had a king bed which was made up as two twin beds we could separate, had a toilet and sink as well as dressers and TV upstairs. Winding staircase. Comfortable living room and dining room, balcony looking out on North Adelaide. Gorgeous marble full bathroom. small kitchenette. Staff was very helpful and friendly - gave us extra free drink coupons.
