We booked for one night through the Quest website using an End of Financial Year Deal, paying only $120.00 for an Executive Apartment in the middle of the city, within easy walking distance of the Rundle Mall, Rundle Street and all of the Adelaide night life. We stayed on a Saturday night, and it was not noisy at all, even though we had a room overlooking the main road. I told my husband not to expect too much as I had read the reviews on various web sites. Well was I wrong! We arrived and were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who couldn't do enough for us. We used the car park across the road and on the morning we were due to leave, the receptionist suggested we use the car park until we were finished in town for the day at not extra cost!! Wow, now that was unexpected and saved us a packet in car parking costs. The room as just great. It was clean, well maintained, very large rooms and considering it is the middle of winter, the rooms were all lovely and warm. We were even able to sleep-in as it was no trouble to utilise a late check-out at not extra cost. We felt overall our stay was great and would recommend to anyone as the cost is very reasonable, and overall a very pleasant experience.

While the historic Pulteney St location could use a style upgrade, the accommodations are spacious, well-maintained and conveniently located to key attractions -- specifically the Rundle Street pedestrian mall of restaurants and shops and the botanic gardens. I booked a 'studio apartment' for AUD125 and was thrilled to find what I would more accurately describe as a one-bedroom apartment with a fully-equipped kitchen, living room and an adjoining bedroom; and, a full-service front desk staff.

We didn't expect much for $99 per night (we booked our accommodation on wotif.com). But we were disappointed by the size of the freezing bathroom and the fact that our 'balcony' was unusable. There was nowhere within the hotel to get a cooked breakfast (we were not willing to eat at the dingy pokies restaurant in the basement).

I have stayed at Quest serviced apartments in both Sydney and Melbourne, that have been of better quality. For the money, this hotel is fine, and a far sight better than the motels this money would usually buy. Clean enough, and housekeeping fixes the room up every day, but not much in the way of hotel facilities.

The building from the outside is beautiful. I think this place would be great with a renovation.

I spent 7 days in QM Adelaide. My appartement was large with a quite convenient kitchen space.
The rooms were quiet as they were located on the back of the Hotel.
The heating was independent and very efficient. Eveything inside the hotel was clean.
A wifi Internet connection was available with extra payment (azure) and worked well (approx 512 mbs).
When reserving be very careful to indicate early arrivals and agree on how they will be managed, for QM has a rather strict policy concerning the incoming and leaving hours.

stayed here for a week during of the Bookcrossing Convention in 06.
was pleasantly surprised by the tastefully decorated rooms, harmonious and calming, loved the fact that i could open the windows (my room was out the back, no view but no noise either).
the apartment was supposed to be serviced but no one cleaned it during the whole week that i stayed there, which was disappointing.
didn't care for TV so can't give feedback on this, bathroom was ok but only a shower despite confirmed bathtub when booked :(
staff were ok, not really going out of their way to help but not unfriendly.
price is ok given the comfort level and location, most exciting view was from a friends apartments balcony the frequent landing of the rescue helicopter on top of the nearby hospital LOL

This was my second stay and overall very happy with everything and was great value for money as it was about one of the cheapest places to stay in Adelaide that I could find. A very good location for walking down the Rundle Mall and loads of food places and takeaway places. The only warning is that if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night then ask for an apartment that isnt fronting the main street. We found it very noisy with traffic right through till the early hours and didnt sleep well at all. The other nights were fine. Would definately stay again as long as I knew I had a room back from the road. The blonde girl who was on the desk was really lovely and helpful. The man was just average. The hotel downstairs closes very early some nights. I think about 8pm so dont expect drinks and dinner if you arent there early. Good for a go on the pokies too.

Great location in the city close to Museums , Gardens and shopping but we had a very disappointing room on the first floor. We suggest you request to see it at check in. Our room was dark, it smelled, stained curtain, only one bed side light plus fridge that needed defrosting . Be aware when booking, I was told when I complained that they don't own the rooms??
