Look, this isn't an unbiased review. I am a Biologist and an Entomologist who loves wild bird life. I live to see these places all over the world. This one did not disappoint. I am here in South Australia's early Spring, so not a ton of flowers blooming yet.

What was unexpected with the statuary and building architecture. Love, love, and some more love. Crested pigeons, mating pairs of Sulfur Crested Cockatoos, a pied cormorant, several species of ducks, and more.

Yes they have a corpse flower in the rain forest exhibit, yes they have an entire building dedicated to Giant Lily Pads, and the cactus garden is stunning.

Leave yourself at least 3 hours to enjoy this beautifully orchestrated Botanical Garden. This is just another reason I would consider a sponsorship to live in Australia or New Zealand.

Cheers!

This is an oasis in the city with a good variety of garden and plant types , a diggers store for plants and seeds and a restaurant to eat in.

There are plenty of paths to walk and lawns to lie on with your girl.

Refreshing

Nicely labelled plant collections and I particularly enjoyed the cacti. Had an excellent (free) guided walk at 10:30 am - interesting and informative. Well worth a visit.

It is always good to go for a stroll around the gardens they always have something new to look at and things change with the seasons. You need to go every few months to see the changes over the year.
