Seeing the only pandas in Australia was fabbo...not as good as seeing them in China but good none the less. Compact zoo with plenty for the family to see. Didn't like the big cats enclosure, felt it was a bit old and too cage like

We visited in December and had an absolutely incredible experience. I've been on a number of occasions with our children but for my husband it was his first time. Given he's not an avid zoo fanatic (he's more sports, luxury hotels etc :)... his feedback on the day was really interesting. He enjoyed the immaculately groomed gardens (so relaxing and beautiful), the cleanliness of the facilities (it really is so well maintained) and the overall zoo experience. Our kids of course loved all the animals and the pandas were an absolute hit. There were lots of opportunities for them to get up close and personal with the animals and the zoo staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. We ate lunch at the zoo cafe and while it was still a takeaway style menu it was much fresher than other zoo/amusement park food we've had and relatively affordable. My only wish was that the entry fees were more affordable so we could visit more often.

Love this place just need to have more rest stops between visiting all the exhibits as kids get tired legs. Great otherwise.

Adelaide Zoo is compact and easy to walk around being almost flat. Seeing the two giant pandas was a breath taking experience as they were active and entertaining. There are numerous excellent exhibits and I never tire of visiting especially with young children.
