Compared to the intercontinental this is a 5 star, they offered luggage service and valet parking too, i wished we had stayed here on our arrival to Adelaide n wouldn't have been questioning the service of the area the first time, amazing how first impressions count , stay here first rooms and service are first class

We have now made it a tradition in our family to spend christmas eve at the hilton. We give each other PJ's or swim suits the night before as a gift and try them out that night.

The hotel is elegantly and tastfully decorated in not too over the top christmas decorations. You can see fireworks, city lights and the church lit up across the road. Its a really beautiful place to be.

Pool area is open and friendly, whilst we often travel as a couple or singles for business christmas time becomes a bit more family orientated and relaxed.

Service is always great with extra attention placed on getting your room just the way you like it. A friendly phone call ten minutes after a swift check in to make sure the room was to our liking and to ask if we wanted any thing else. The champagne bucket and ice was up with in 5 minutes and every one was happy.

A great time always had... see you next christmas!!!

Its the little things, sitting in your room and being delivered complimentary waters. The location for Adelaide is perfect, Central Markets, Vic Square, Gouger Street and the Tram just outside its doors.
Either view city or the sea is great. I am a fan!

We spent four nights at the Hilton Adelaide. Our main disappointment was the lack of cleanliness in our room and the corridor. We are not the sort of travelers who check a room upside down to look for faults, but this would have to be the least clean hotel we have ever stayed at. Rubbish on the floor for several days. Tooth floss on the carpet was never removed. Lots of dust in our room. The writing desk had dust on it.
Aside from that, a standard business hotel. Breakfast was ok but overpriced. Location is good. Right next to the impressive central markets.

Thank you for taking the time to forward your comments on Trip Advisor in regards to your recent stay with us.

I was pleased that you were happy with the location of the hotel however I apologise for the downfalls in service you received.

Please rest assured this is not the five star service we strive to achieve and this will be discussed with our Executive Housekeeper to ensure more care is taken with the cleanliness of our rooms.

Got a good cheap special - just $120 for the night in a king room.
Room was very clean, large and comfortable, service from all staff was great, and bathroom amenities were nice.

Downside - I personally found the two pillows completely uncomfortable so didn't sleep on them at all. Some more pillow variety would be handy. Rooms aren't the most soundproof either - not that this caused any problems for me.

All in all - would stay again.

We arrived with no booking on the night of the 31st of December. We asked for a king bed luxury room, and the price was way beyond the value of the room. Very expensive even when compared with much better hotels.

The room is spacious and comfy, but for sure in need of renovation. The entire environment of the room looks very dark and not as modern as it should be for an hotel this class. The bathroom is in urgent need of refurbishing and does not look at all as nice as you may expect from Hilton.

Service is ok, but nothing special or nice. Check In took a monstrous 20 minutes even if we were the only guest there at the counter and there were 3 people serving us.

Breakfast buffet is expensive and not as good as other hotels we have been in Australia, limited choices, and average quality of the food. Servers at breakfast seem they are all there for their first day of work, and it took 15 minutes to get a coffee.

Valet took 20+ minutes to collect and deliver our car. We called from the room to prepare the car, when we arrived downstairs nobody had brought the car out, and moreover they lost the key of our car for at least 10 minutes, searching frantically for them and sincerely scaring the hell out of us.

Location is very good, right on Victoria Square, but Adelaide is so small in the center that any location around would provide the same comfort.

3 days later we came back to Adelaide and we stayed at the Oaks Apartment, much cheaper and way better than the Hilton.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel

Dear Agadotti,

Thank you for your comments in regards to your recent stay at Hilton Adelaide.

I was pleased that you found the location of the hotel convenient and the room allocated to you was spacious however I was concerned of the disappointment you felt in certain areas of your stay.

I apologise that you found the service at Reception and the Brasserie Restaurant slow and please rest assured your comments will be passed to the Managers concerned to ensure they follow this up with their team members.

I am pleased to say we are in the process of a renovation program in the aim of upgrading all the guest areas of the hotel. We are currently renovating the bar in the lobby area and further renovations will follow in the near future to give the hotel a fresh modern look and feel.

I hope I will have the opportunity of welcoming you back to Hilton Adelaide in the future were we may be able to show you the service we pride ourselves on.

This is the best Hilton I can remember staying at EVER. I have a very clear way of reviewing hotels and I am consistent in my application of that. Your staff were exceptionally helpful and human, the whole experience was congruent with my expectations of the brand. Further, you covered the basic requirements with ease - not only was the bed exceptionally comfortable, but the pillow choices & linen were divine ( rare to get both right for some unknown reason). I will genuinely look forward to staying here again!

Room Tip: Taking the cheap upgrade which got access to the Executive Lounge was well worth it for the nibbles...
