“Great reward stay for Hilton Honors members”
Reviewed September 22, 2011

I've traveled around to different Hilton hotels and have used reward points in Italy and Hawaii. However, while I was treated well at all of my reward stays, nothing compares to the Hilton Adelaide. My husband and I only stayed one night on our way from Port Lincoln to Cairns, but it was a memorable night! The Director of Operations, Vincent, met us immediately upon our arrival and personally showed us to our room. It was a nice and appreciated personal touch. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel itself was absolutely lovely and one of the nicest Hiltons we've visited. The staff were great and so friendly. I am a VIP Gold Hilton Honors Member and was upgraded to the Executive level with access to the lounge (which was wonderful) and also given free breakfast, which had ample variety and was delicious! This hotel really knows how to treat its VIP members! Australia and its hospitality is simply amazing. My husband and I can't thank you enough for our wonderful experience at the Hilton Adelaide!

Dont let the exterior put you off. This is a clean comfortable hotel where the staff can't help you enough. Check in was a breeze and our bags where brought up to our room stat. staff were very friendly, prompt and courteous. I didn't eat at restaurant but menu looked decent. I was impressed with the lobby bar entertainment I saw no less than 4 live performers , very tasteful acoustic/piano in less than 24 hours! The ambience was wonderful for a quiet drink or two. It is located direct in front of tram stop which is direct to mall (10 min walk) and the illustrious Glenelg beach. Lots of restaurants and bars surrounding. Adjacent to central market which has incredible breakfast at Lucia's if u can get a table. Only gripe is valet parking is 39 pn which is ludicrous for Adelaide and it can take a long time for them to collect your car. Otherwise recommended highly.

Dear Guest
I appreciate your review of your recent stay at Hilton Adelaide and am pleased that you experienced our Lounge Bar entertainment on more than one occasion.

We strive to personalise each guest experience and keep costs down wherever possible however I understand that valet parking cost was an issue of concern for you. The Valet parking charge is currently $29.50 for a 24 hour period.

Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you to Hilton Adelaide again soon.

My partner and I stayed at the Hilton Adelaide for three nights during a holiday to the Barossa region. We were impressed with the hotel -- its accommodations were spacious and comfortable, and its service was exceptional.

Upon check-in, I was quickly recognized as a Diamond member of Hilton HHonors. We were placed in an executive level room, and the operations manager even took us up to the room, offering us a personal greeting, summary of hotel facilities, and suggestions of things we might do in the region. Our bags were delivered very quickly by the bell staff.

The room itself was what you'd expect from a Hilton -- nothing extraordinary in terms of design, etc., but very spacious with a quite comfortable bed and roomy bathroom with separate tub and shower. The internet access, complimentary for Diamond Hilton HHonors members, offered an easy to establish and speedy connection throughout our stay.

The executive lounge was excellent. Each evening it offered a very wide selection of canapes; they were substantive enough to serve as a light dinner. In the morning, there was a continental breakfast with a nice selection of breads, cereals, and fruit. The staff in the lounge were extremely welcoming and eager to serve.

Special kudos to the operations manager -- not only did he provide a standout warm welcome, he remembered us throughout our stay and would check-in to see how everything was going whenever he encountered us in the lobby or in the executive lounge. He was the epitome of a hands-on, guest-oriented manager.

The hotel's location is ideal; it is within easy walking distance of several shops and restaurants along with the delightful Central Market.

Should business or pleasure cause me to return to Adelaide, I would most certainly stay here again.

Stayed two days at the Hilton Adelaide in September 2011. Excellent Executive floor for evening canapes and drinks, as well as internet/computer use. They have Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries in the bathrooms and the rooms are spacious . The staff are great and the conceirge are very good for organising tours for nearby Barossa Valley (which I would highly recommend for any stay in Adelaide). I liked using the tennis court and jogging track on level 3. Satisfactory number of options for the buffet breakfast. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Adelaide.

The Hilton is my hotel of choice in Adelaide, and is one of the best Hiltons in Australia. As a HH Gold member I received an upgrade to an executive floor on this and other occasions, but I have noticed that the amenities for HH elite members seem to have reduced over the past year or so. There used to be a welcome card from the GM, and chocolates or some other goody and these haven't been there for my last 3 stays.
The rooms are great and bigger than many Hiltons, the staff are excellent, and Dinner at the Brasserie restaurant is something I look forward to as part of the experience.

Room Tip: High floor way from the lifts - I prefer the Victoria Square outlook to the Adelaide Hills

We spent three nights here over Easter and the stay was warm and homely. The staff are lovely right from the front door. The location in the lovely Victoria Square meant we could explore the city centre on foot and return to the hotel for wonderful hot chocolate and pastries. It is close to a Coles supermarket (out of the hotel; left and left again) and to lots of restaurants on Gouger Street (out of hotel; right and right again). Our room was on the eleventh floor and was spotless and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay including an iron and ironing board; tea making facilities, great toiletries etc. The room didn't have the best of views; it looked over the rooftop of the huge Central Markets to the right of the hotel but we loved that we could open the window; so rare these days in hotels. We loved exploring the Central Markets with the huge variety of produce including kangaroo meat which was a novelty for us. We took the tram to Glenelg seaside resort from right outside the front of the hotel and it takes about twenty minutes. We also took a trip up to Mount Lofty for a great view and then to the nearby Cleland Wildlife Sanctuary where we saw our first koalas, wallabies, kangaroos and dingoes. The food in the breakfast buffet at the Brasserie in the hotel was superb. We ate dinner out at restaurants on Gouger Street including Stanleys Fish Cafe and the Mandarin House. Each night we returned for a night cap to Charlie's Bar at the hotel. It seems to be a hub for locals and was frequented by all age groups. We loved that it had a nice buzz but we could still sit and enjoy our drinks in comfy chairs and sofas while soaking up the atmosphere. We would hope to return to Adelaide some day and if/ when we do we would return to the Hilton Adelaide without hesitation.

We arrived quite late here, there were two unsavory people having a domestic outside, the doorman got between us and them straight away. our bags and car were sorted and we were show into reception with great concern. Its difficult to explain how good this place looks when you arrive, but when you are as exhausted as we were, it looked like heaven. We had been on a bush trip all day on kangaroo island, and looked somewhat scruffy, the staff could not have been more pleasant, and took no notice of our apperance, the room was superbe, and being late we went to the bar as we were, and were treated the same as eveyone else. We have made a pact, that if ever we can afford it, we will return the this hotel one day, and spend a week here. It was our best in Australia!

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, the views were magnificent, the room was immaculate.
