Great place for after work drinks along with good pub food for dinner. As a first time diner here, menu had a good selection to entice with dishes meeting expectation based on description in the menu. Only negative is service was lacking.

The Wright Street Hotel has been made over, giving it a pleasant quirky ambience.

Patrons donated the plates on the tables- from classic Royal Albert to 1960s Mikasa!

The food and service is friendly and hospitable.

Besides the usual pub fare, you'll find some inventive menu choices and good value tapas.

If you're in the area- maybe visiting the Central Market, or going to a show at Her Majesty's Theatre, this is a good place to visit.

Good food but very limited wine list. Some of the wines are quite overpriced. Against that I asked for my chips to be well done (just a small thing) and was very pleasantly surprised to find that they were. A good sign.

Interesting upgrade to be more rustic. Dining room has eclectic plates where none match but works. Menu has basics and some interesting fare. Check out the specials board. Dining room off the main area. Some lunchtimes it's full, other times not so many there. Main bar area wide and open with some big benches rather than tables. Our work group goes here a bit. The free tram has opened up this end of town.

This is one of those joints that pops up in Adelaide every now and then that gives hope to the aspirationsl hipsters that Adelaide may one day turn into Melbourne. No disguising that it is a beer barn and pokies pub that smells, and I am not exaggerating, like my cat has nightly relieved herself on the carpet.

The food menu looks good but the deal on the plate ranges from awful to ordinary.

Go here if it is late at night and you have already drunk your own body weight.
