We have stayed in this delightful B and B four times and always feel so " at home". The difference being that we do not get waited on so beautifully at home. Every possible need has been anticipated from Sue and Phil's welcome with the huge basket of fruit, goodies and home made biscuits to the perfect breakfast served under the vine-covered pergola by the pool in the lovely garden. Even Kari the "fierce guard dog!" ( a lovely docile golden Labrador) extends her warm welcome. Our only worry in reviewing Possum's Rest is that too many others may discover it's hidden delights and it will be completely booked up when we want to return as we hope to in the future......
Thanks Sue and Phil Ogden for:
* Delicious breakfasts every morning.
* Excellent location, choice locality, on CBD's doorstep.
* Accommodation in beautiful garden setting.
* Garden-setting swimming pool.
* Friendly and obliging hosts, giving us lifts into, and out of, town. Also to Adelaide airport.
The accommodation is set in the back garden of 8 Catherine St. College Park, a near-city choice locality.
The accommodation, while compact, keeps things organised and near-at-hand. The summer of''16/'17 has been temperate, but had it been warmer, our accommodation would have been easily cooled by the air-conditioner.
Possums Rest has a lovely garden-setting swimming pool..Breakfast comprised muesli. Then followed by a generous fruit compote and unsweetened yoghurt. Bacon, eggs, garnishing, on fresh toast.. Big pot of tea. Finally croissants with butter and two types of jam. And Sue and Phil Ogden's company.
Thanks Sue and Phil for your company and conversation. And for your conveyance occasionally, finally to Adelaide airport.
We had a wonderful stay at Possums Rest, Sue and Phil really know how to make you feel very welcome. Phil sure knows where the wildlife is at night! They also took us on an amazing drive past all the X-mas decorations. We loved the garden and the pool was great for a dip on a warm day. Thank you so very much!
