“Unpretentious and good value tasty food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Allegria is a small restaurant located in inner suburban Adelaide.

They offer unpretentious Italian fare at reasonable prices: I had the daily special for AUD 22: it was tasty pasta with prawns and a tomato and chilli sauce.

You can sit inside or outside- the restaurant is the rearmost shop in a suburban row of shops.

Service is cheerful and friendly.

This Is a good value place to visit for a simple and tasty meal with friends.

“Authentic Italian fare with good service”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

We were recommended this Cafe by an Italian chef friend, who described it as a good place for authentic Italian food - he was right. Delicious homemade gnocchi with Diavola sauce, excellent pizza and a range of gelati flavours all made for a very pleasant, relaxed meal. I'd go back.

“Good value tasty Italian food with friendly service at this innner suburban restaurant”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Allegria offers good value tasty Italian food with friendlty service at value-for- money prices.

Look out for their daily specials, which feature seasonal produce.

They also offer tasty pizzas, as well as gelati and coffee.

It's a casual restaurant, situated in an inner suburban shopping centre.

If you want to go foe dinner, I recommend you make a reservation, as they can be very busy- it's popular with locals.

Highly recommended for a casual meal.

“Local Favourite”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Only 10 minutes from the CBD- and located on one of the main roads out of town (Payneham Road) this charming cafe is a a favourite with locals from the surrounding suburbs of Payneham, Joslin, St Peters, Marden etc. The pasta and gourmet pizzas are lovely every time and for offal- lovers you will often find liver, tripe etc on the specials menu which changes from week to week. The wine list is quite adequate and the service is always friendly and cheerful and the food is served quickly and piping hot. Great for a quick bite. Don't expect silver service or richly upholstered furniture, but for a great Italian meal at a reasonable price- you can't go past Allegria.

“Secret sensation”
Reviewed June 17, 2011

Nino Solari has been pumping out some of the best pizzas and pasta i South Australia for decades. He used to be at Victor Harbor and many of his loyal followers still call in to enjoy his food and wine now he is in Adelaide. Nino is a former cycling champ so if you are looking for a great coffee during a ride, you want to carbo load or enjoy a post ride salad and vino then cafe Allegria is the place to go. If you are there during January there is a fair chance you will rub shoulders with scores of professional cyclists from Italy and other parts or Europe. The Australian squad also regularly dines there.
