Had a 3 night long weekend on Hamilton - couldn't have had a better stay at the Whitsunday Apartments. The location is perfect and the view from our 5th floor just beautiful. Yes, the apartments are a bit dated, but that really doesn't mater as they are spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. Would not hesitate to book there again.

Room Tip: get a sea view room

We needed a week off before a hectic time at work so booked and stayed at this fantastic resort hotel, from the minute they picked us up from the harbour nothing was too much trouble for the staff. When we arrived at our 10th floor unit we were thrilled with the size, room, views, facilities and access which got the break off to a great start. The rooms are very clean and serviced enough for what little mess we made, the kitchen was just like home so we cooked heaps and then spoiled ourselves by dining out often, we will be back for another visit. The only thing the place lacks is a bar and restuarant.

If your looking for an easy to get to beach / island holiday that will not break the bank then I would get on the next plane to H/I . From touchdown everything was really well arranged with individual shuttles to each accommodation venue. Our's was Whitsunday Apartments (Level 13) was spotlessly clean and had fantastic views of the beach and surrounding islands / pools. Food and drink options vary from cheap fish and chip take away to spectacular meals at the H/I Yacht Club - we ate at Sails 3 times and it was very good on each occasion. My only issue was that on the 2 days of rain there was no organised activities to cater for the wet weather and I would have thought that a board game day / trivia / karaoke or some other such silly fun event could have been arranged to keep up amused but having said that when the rain did clear the place is spectacular with great beaches and warm inviting water. Can’t wait to go back.

We stayed in February 2014 on the 7th floor. The view, as can be seen in other reviews, is to die for. The room is *reasonably* clean (we had some dirty linen and encountered problems getting housekeping to change them). The room is very average but the view makes up for it all. Some tips (if it is your first time on Hamilton Island) there *is* a supermarket on the island, regardless of what they tell you on the mainland, and food isn't overly expensive. So no need to cart an esky full of groceries (like we did). Although the island is small and you can walk anywhere be sure to hire a golf buggy for your entire stay, you will get sick of walking and feeling like a pauper when everyone else is in buggies. One negative side to Hamilton Island is the tap water tastes awful, almost like it is slightly salty. Apart from that Whitsunday Apartments is a great and cheap choice and you won't ever want to leave!

My husband and I have just returned from Hamilton Island where we stayed at Whitsunday Apartments. We were on the 8th floor of the west wing and the view was amazing ! The apartments are large and very spacious with balconies the full width of the apartment. When you walk into your apartment the first thing you see is the beautiful Catseye Beach with the turquoise water, colourful catarmarans sailing on it and the Whitsunday Island across the way.
I don't think we have ever stayed in such a picturesque place before.
The aooartment is very well appointed with a modern kitchen for self-catering. The bedroom is also very large and spacious with plenty of wardrobe/drawer space.
We found the staff to be very friendly, especially the staff on reception. A big mention to Kate and her male co-worker, who's name escapes me at this time (Shane???) sorry about that. They made our stay very enjoyable and memorable.
There is a guest lounge that provides free wi-fi and everything is very easy.
The apartments are set in beautiful gardens and the lagoon style pool is very tropical.
Love, love loved it !! We will be back :)

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor to make the most of the view
