Owner description: WILD LIFE Hamilton Island is one of only a few places in the world where you can experience the thrill and excitement of cuddling a koala. This is an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Australia's most famous and unique animals. Other experiences include Breakfast with the Koalas, Koala Cuddle Photos, personal encounters with other animals including our Dingoes, Snakes and Lizards, our Keeper Tours (free with admission) and the Twilight Tour and BBQ. For $20(adult-don't remember the price for kids but it was less) you get unlimited visits to the park while staying on Hamilton Island.

“Don't go for a late Brekky !!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

We decided to take one of our breakfasts here and we were running late, however we were told breakfast went on 'til 10 o'clock.

We arrived at twenty to ten thinking we'll be ok. ........ errrr no!

Yes we were allowed to eat from the buffet, and as we walked in (at 09:40), the keeper walked out with the koala !!

Then the buffet was only half loaded, and not replenished.
Fresh coffee was promised, but never arrived.

A disappointing time caused, I deduce by people who don't care about what they are doing.

“Very small and expensive”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

A really small zoo, was abit shocked really and thought where the rest of it was??? probably not even 200m of walking and you are through the park. The breakfast with the wildlife was nice.

“Great for overseas visitors”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Although I've rated this attraction as 'average', it depends on what you're expecting. If you are a tourist from another country and have not experienced our wildlife previously, I'm sure you'll find it very unique and entertaining, especially 'Breakfast with the Koalas'. This attraction is well run, and the animals all seem to be in good health. Once you have paid your initial entry to the park, you are welcome back as many times as you like during your stay, for no extra charge. This means you are able to pop in during the reptile show in the afternoon, or for the morning tour with the marsupials.
If you are visiting from overseas, I believe having breakfast with the koalas would be the ticket! You get to enjoy a lovely buffet breakfast catering for a wide variety of diets (eggs cooked to order . . . omlette, scrambled etc. Yummo!) dining amoung very cute, drowsey and happy koalas.
The 'average' rating would only refer to seasoned Australians who have seen it all before. However breakfast was lovely, and the staff were friendly and proffessional.
It would be nice to see a little more space, design and thought afforded to this attraction, because I believe it has so much more potential especially for the overseas market.

“Spent more time here than expected”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

The Wildlife park is very small and considering the price a bit disappointing. The photo with the Koala also very expensive.
I like to get my moneys worth so the best thing about the park is the multiple entries once you have paid. This was good when our toddler needed to explore, he enjoyed the Cockatoo that talked to him and the Crocodile that went "snap snap". The keepers who do the tours and talks were very friendly and interesting.
Breakfast here was pretty simple compared to our hotel buffet but it was included in our package and sometimes it's good to mix it up a bit.
If I was returning, I probably wouldn't go again, but if your an international visitor and Hamilton is your only Australian stop, then it's a good taste of Australian wildlife.
