Had breakfast here everyday during our stay at beach club. Service and food for breakfast was excellent.
Dined here a few times during our stay, each time the food was good and service too. Couldn’t fault any of the meals we had here, all with a great view over the infinity pool and beach/sea.
Happy and would recommend

I took my Wife and her 76 year old Mother for lunch at the Beach Club. ...... Sorry I did !!

We were guests of the Hamilton Island conglomerate, staying at the Reef View Hotel, so we wandered across to the Beach Club and asked at the reception , if we could take some lunch there and were courteously invited in and led to the restaurant and seated at a lovely table , outside , overlooking the pool. Had the most wonderful lunch and , as Mum is a little tired following the days events , and we wished to have a wander across the resort area to see what else is around, having never been there before, we took her over to a shaded sun-bed to sit, finish her drink and await our return in probably 15 or so minutes. ........... So we thought.

Ten minutes later we receive a distraught phone call from her. She was walking back to where we were staying.

One of the female staff tending the pool, quizzed her in such an inappropriate manner, from the end of the sun-bed, loudly demanding she leave and removed her drink from her, when Mum says she hasn't finished , the staff member stayed standing over her until she finished continuing to loudly berate her in front of a pool-side full of guests, during which time she actually recognised that Mum had taken lunch a short time ago, but she continued to loudly ask her to leave the hotel.

You can only imagine how embarrassing this episode was for a 76 year old lady.

HOW UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND ACTUALLY CRUEL.

We all know this could and should have been dealt with discretionally.

Not only that, my Wife's Mum suffers from Catalepsy , which could have actually been exacerbated by such an episode, causing collapse.

This member of staff showed no respect or care in her duty and is a disgrace to the industry.

My Wife and I returned the next day to discuss the matter with Marcus, the manager.
Yes, he listened intently and agreed with us that his staff's behaviour was unacceptable and promised to deal with the staff member appropriately.

The sad thing is that this happened and marred what began as a lovely visit to this hotel.

The criminal thing is that it is the lasting and overwhelming impression in the memory of this old lady, of her trip to Hamilton Island.

We booked in Beach Club ahead of time for their degustation meal on the beach under the moonlight. The view and service was top notch. They even allowed us to bring our own bottle of french champagne for the occasion which made it extra special.

The courses to start with were well thought out and distinct and followed each other reasonably well. The scallops and corn course, while scoffed by other reviewers, was actually quite tasty. The main meal though was a homemade pasta with duck which just didn't seem to be up to the standard required for this type of meal and for this cost. I think they are missing a great opportunity to finish it off properly. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake which was good but not exceptional.

Having said that this was definitely our most cherished night of the trip just due to being right on the beach with the moonlight ;)

My Wife, her 76 year old Mum and I had lunch here.

Sat outside next to the infinity pool, which really did appear infinite due to the lower position of the patio and overlooking the ocean, framed by palm trees, It really is one of the most scenic places on the planet to have lunch!!

The lunch menu was very good value for money considering the setting.

The food was delicious, we all plumbed for a sandwich type lunch, BLT's that were superb, stuffed with lots of bacon, and rare beef baguette that was delecable.
Washed down with a couple of nice cool beers, just magical.

Be aware though, Beach Club is supposed to be exclusive, it is not on any of the lists of where to dine on the Island, and really, therefore should only be used by guests staying there. We stayed at the Reef View Hotel and on requesting at the BC front desk to eat there , we were quickly shown in to their empty restaurant. Yes, any money is better than no money !!!

On a disappointing note, our lunch was deeply marred by the actions of one of the pool waitresses, but that's another story to be shortly found on the Beach Club Hotel review page.

Hard to beat. Excellent choice and menu with equally up to standard staff. Well worth a visit! Hamilton Island has a decent number of quality places to eat for it's size.
