I was a bit afraid it was a tourist trap taking advantage of the people stuck on the island. After my hesitation my wife and I went in and enjoyed the artifacts and small aquarium. Then, we came to to the crocs! They were amazing. We had them stalk us and with not many people around spoke with one of the keepers who was very knowledgeable and nice.

After such a great time I got the rest of my family to come back the next day for the feeding. I appreciated it all even more after hearing more about their habits and how they care for the animals. The poor turtle I thought was in too small a space was one they received from local authorities and were nursing it back to health...

Had a great time. If you need a break from the beach and resort, it's highly recommended.

If you are into crocodiles.. This place has the biggest and best crocs around
Cassius is amazing and most of the others are almost as big.

They are all in great condition and given the amount of room they have to play with it is very well set up.
Make sure you take time to check k out the hall of croc attacks as it is gruesome but very interesting as well as all the artefacts around the place.

And don't forget to get a pic with cuddles the croc haha

Would encourage others to visit

Staff were fantastic. Great opportunity to hold a crocodile for a small additional cost. Small but great chance to see crocs up close and personal.

The variation in exhibits is astounding. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgable. As we said variation is the key. We bought a hand crafted piece of jewellery made by the grand daughter of George and Shirley; their grandson guided us through handling a young crocodile named Cuddles. This experience is one that you should do when visiting this great place. We now have many pictures of us holding Cuddles! It is wonderful to see a well run family business. Ros and I highly recommend this attraction

Aside from Cassius and the other crocs, there are rooms and rooms of artifacts from Melanasia. We spent a few hours seeing everything in this "museum" because we have an interest in the masks and statues. An average person would probably be in and out in an hour, but would have missed so much!
