Nice lake cus of the water being so clear, otherwise just very ordinary scenery. When we got there there was lots water, apparently it's normally less water and its like a beach. Maybe then it might be nicer

We were booked on one of the smaller, premium tours for our day on Fraser Island. First off the ferry and away from the assembly area, this allowed us to race off down the undulating sandy track to visit one of the early logging settlements. Much of these activities have had a deliterious effect of the local flora and fauna, and a huge effort is being made by the Queensland governement to return the island to its earlier state. This is in contrast to the activities on these day tours which race around this lovely island at breakneck speeds to reach the shipwreck at the end of the seventy-mile long beach! So much for our carbon footprint. On route we visited the multi-coloured sand cliffs for which Fraser is famous, and also stopped to see the ubiquitous dingo. Then we raced back to the island's incongruous restaurant and shopping complexfor lunch before finally arriving at Lake Mckenzie after bumpy driving for at least 40 mins up the jungle tracks. Still the bathing later in the crystal clear lake was sublime.Ah!

Lake McKenzie at Fraser Island is beautiful ! Must go swimming there, and if you bring your snorkelers you might even see some turtles :) It's a quiet place, with a few people there all the time. If your looking on doing photography, it is beautiful. Lake McKenzie does get a few dingoes sometimes, but if you do the rules they just sit down on the sand or in the lake, i actually got a really good photo of a dingo in the lake cooling down. Plenty of parking space, and has toilets. The lake is massive !
