It is strange to see a ship washed a shore. Be sure to add to your list as it wont be there for much longer

Excellent day with son, Gus on Fraser Island. Spend all day on a Fourwheel drive tour. Fraser Island is a must see.

It's not very often you get to see a shipwreck, but this one is fab. Located right on the beach and depending on the time you get there you can see it fully out of the water or part submerged - both very cool.

“Stop on your way past”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

I wouldnt go out of your way to see this, but you will no doubt pass it when travelling from Eli creek to champagne pools. You can stop to take the obligatory photo however, if you're are attempting to schedule a few sights in one tide, have this as the lowest priority.

Here is a short video of our trip in Feb 2013.

“Photographers Dream”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

During the drive along the 75 mile beach one gets to this wreck. It is almost unbelievable that it stranded here as long ago as 1935 en tow to Japan for recycling. Apparently the Australian Air-force also used it for target practice during WW II.

The wreck allows photographers of all levels the opportunity to become very artistic with the rusting wreck and the crystal clear ocean next to it.
