I had dinner here on Tuesday night and having read all the previous reviews I was looking forward to something special.

The prawn toast was bland, and my main (King Prawns with Linguinie) was luke warm and lacked the chili punch I thought would be there. Desert was great (smoking chocolate).

Service was good and the waitresses very attentive.

We are regular diners at A Touch of Salt because they never disappoint. The food, wine selection and service are of the highest quality. Management and staff make us feel like part of their extended family, we think we are treated special. Here's the good news, "that's how they make everyone feel". If you want a great dining experience hot foot it to A Touch of Salt

Excellent food and charming service. Our meals took quite a while to arrive but otherwise the whole experience was first class. Recommended for a romantic dinner for couples especially.

Really enjoyed the food and location here in Townsville. Started with some really inventive prawn toast with a twist. Lovely. Followed with two entree's. Sticky Pork Belly with tamarind and a Slow cooked goat pithivier. The goat was lovely, such delicate melt in the mouth tender goat in a lovely pastry parcel. The pork belly was a bit of a dissapointment. The flesh was dry and the usual crispy skin was not crispy at all. The mains we had were fantastic. I had the spice roasted Spanish mackerel, so tasty and my colleague the lamb rack. Both dishes were very good. Our deserts were also really tasty. Service was also very good although a touch to attentive at times. I'm not sure if was necessary to fill up our water every time we took a sip! One final negative comment was one of the cocktails we had was very weak, almost like too much soda water had been added. That said the other 3 cocktails were superb. Overall very impressed. If your in Townsville give it a visit.
