Perfect - great location, views, quiet, clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Great food nearby and within walking distance (Indian, Thai + Lolas cafe) . Thoroughly enjoyed the ocean & hinterland views . The only issue is the carparking space - you need to be a good driver! Lyn was very friendly and helpful at all times. We had no issues and we would have no hesitation in recommending The Breakers - we would happily stay again.

Room Tip: We stayed in Unit 42 - renovated, clean and modern + good views of ocean and city and hinterland - i...

Really happy you enjoyed your stay with us even if the car space was a tricky one - fortunately there are only a couple that are a little more difficult to manoeuvre than others depending on the size of the vehicle. If this becomes a major issue we will try and move guests to a more easily accessible space where possible.

We stayed in a beachfront cabana. The location and lookout from the cabana was amazing - beachfront and a shimmering blue swimming pool. Location-wise, we could not have asked for anything better. We also enjoyed the privacy of having our own little cabana with direct access to beach. The place was right at the heart of surfers paradise so it was close to shops and restaurants.
The only disappointing part was the poor maintenance of the room. The chairs and cushions smelt pretty bad so we had to lay a blanket on it before sitting down. Also, we were given only two toilet papers for five adults and had to buy extras which we thought was odd since the hotels we've stayed with in the past either catered for 5 adults or provided extras when required. This was the same for other things like dishwashing liquid - we had to buy our own when needed.
The other thing was the ladder leading up to the four beds was quite steep and felt a bit dangerous to climb to get to the room, so we had to be extra cautious going up and down.
So overall - the location and staff were great, but the room cleanliness could have been better.

Agreed the beachfront cabanas are in a wonderful position, as is the property - you cannot get any closer to the beach than where we are - just a few steps and you are on the sand. My apologies you had to put a blanket on the lounge this is certainly not something we would expect you should do and this has been addressed. It is sometimes a little hard to have these things steam cleaned, dried and ready when we are in very busy periods.
Regarding the supplies in the apartment, this is something that a lot of guests still do not understand. We, as are all the apartments on the Gold Coast, self catering - we are not like a hotel that replenishes daily. In a self catering apartment we supply each apartment with a starter pack only of toilet paper, soap, dishwashing liquid and powder etc. and then it is up to you to replenish these as required.
We are aware of the steep ladder/stairs up to the loft bedroom in the cabanas and always try and let guests know of this prior to booking as we do need everyone to be comfortable that all in the family are able to negotiate these. In all our advertising we do mention the ladder/stairs and that they are not suitable for very young children, the elderly or injured.
Really glad you did enjoy your stay with us as it really is a top spot!!

Had a great holiday at The Breakers despite that we had an old apartment with patches on the wall, torn carpet that were pretty obvious and renovation going on next door. Everthing else was adequate and they even have a full drawer of containers for picnic.

Apologies for the renovation next door, however, I guess there is never a good time to do this and the definite positive is that yet another apartment is newly renovated and to top it off the apartment you did stay in is next and will be done in 2014.

We had a great holiday from 13-18th Dec 2013 on the 9th floor, Unit 55. The beach-front view overlooking Pacific Ocean is superb and wonderful.

The apartment is clean, spacious, well equipped and maintained. Security is top notch! Our appreciation goes to Ms Lyn, Ms Jazz and Mr Michael who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We'll definitely come back here again!

Room Tip: Go for beach-front view on higher floors (maybe from level 3 and above)...you'll love it!

It was a pleasure to have you and your family stay with us and thanks for your kind words. I have to say though, that all apartments in The Breakers do have wonderful ocean views even down to the ground floor as our building is elevated from the beach. We look forward to seeing you next time.

We had a great few days in the best location on the coast in the newly renovated unit 53 on the 9th floor. This was the best one bedroom unit I have ever stayed in and the view was superb overlooking the ocean. We will definitely come back here again and again!
Thanks to the great staff as well.

Really glad you enjoyed your stay with us and I certainly do have to agree the apartment you stayed in has been renovated beautifully and captures the most fabulous views over the ocean.

Stayed at this apartment complex and enjoyed the stay. It is the
Perfect position with direct beach and pool Access. The complex is also close to the bus stop for the 750 bus to Sea World and Pacific Fair and Broadbeach restaurants.

The apartment was spacious and well appointed although getting a little tired.

My only disappointment was that my room was on the ground floor so now beach or other views.

Lynne on reception was excellent and extremely helpful when a couple of small issues arose.

If I knew I would get an apartment on a higher floor I would stay here again for sure.

I remember you!!! If it wasn't for you one of those small issues would not have been changed - so I thank you for that. When you do come back to us you only need to contact us direct and we will most certainly look after you - it is always advantageous to contact us directly if you do have any preferences for a particular style, location in the building and we will always try to accommodate those requests subject to availability.

My family and I were on holiday at the Gold Coast for 9 days, and we needed an accommodation that has free parking and internet access, amongst other requirements. The Breakers provides both and more. We rented a two-bedroom apartment and the one we were in has a balcony that overlooked the sea, a beautiful sight at any given time of the day (or night). One of the reason for renting The Breakers is because of its location: right next to the beach.

As mentioned in other reviews, The Breakers does not rent out to the "schoolies", a good thing as they tend to be a rowdy bunch. I supposed being young and care-free, the idea of fun is to make as much noise as possible, and to drink as much as possible, which then became a vicious cycle.

In terms of amenities, The Breakers is first rate. The external facilities boast a fairly good sized heated pool (for cooler days dipping) with plenty of deck chairs or sun loungers to relax on, a lawn-based tennis court, and a secured underground parking for tenants (above ground parking for guests of tenants). Within the 2-bedroom apartment, it has amenities like microwave oven, full size refrigerator, full size oven, convention cooker, LCD TV with cable network, dining table and chairs for 6, sofa and arm chairs, washer and dryer for laundry, vacuum cleaner, air-conditioner in the living room, and full kitchen equipping (cutlery, bowls, plates, knives, toaster, electric kettle, sink, plentiful cabinet and shelves). The master bedroom has a en-suite bathroom cum toilet while the second bedroom is close to the main bathroom cum toilet. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and they share a balcony that overlooks the beach and sea. The living room/hall has another larger balcony that overlooks the beach and sea, complete with deck chairs. The apartment is also equipped with high speed wifi for free internet access.

In terms of security, The Breakers is first rate as well. All access into the building (inclusive of activating the lift to go to either the basement car park or apartment) and underground parking, as well as out to the beach area, requires a RFID tag. Two are given to each apartment tenants. At night, there is a security officer on duty.

The manager on duty, shared between Lynn and Jazz on different days of the week, was always helpful. One could purchase Theme Parks' tickets, as well as tickets for other attractions within the Gold Coast, from them. They made our stay at The Breakers more welcomed indeed.

All in all, we enjoyed our time at the Gold Coast, and part of it can be attributed to the excellent experience we have had at The Breakers. Its location is good, near the beach as well as within walking distance to the heart of Surfers Paradise for shopping and dining (about 10 - 15 minutes walk). We will certainly return there for our next trip to the Gold Coast.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea facing unit. The view is spectacular.
