We have stayed at this resort many times, but on our last stay we booked through Sandra Bee www.goldcoastchevron.com and found her apartment to be the best off all!

The standard of her apartment was fantastic, everything was clean, right down to the carpets had just been done and the curtains washed! The little things in her apartment were catered for e.g washing powder, dishwasher powder, beach toys for the kids and board games! It was a home away from home!

Nothing was too much trouble for Sandra, with a phone call away!

Alot of other apartments in this complex are looking old, with not alot of attention being paid to them!

The pool area was fantastic, indoor pool also great, grounds beautiful and the location great.

I would highly recommend this apartment if you like attention to detail! It sleeps 5 people.

We have now stayed here 3 times. The 1st two, we booked with private owners and this time we got such a good deal that we booked direct with the hotel.

If you wan't a self contained apartment, very close to supermarket, restaurants, short walk to beach and bus stop at your front door to get to theme parks, both indoor and outdoor pools, then this is the place to stay.

My only criticism is that they could do with better curtains. The ones in our room let a lot of light in early in the morning.

The apartment was excellent the only issue I have is navigating around the 3 towers to the shopping centre, this could be signposted so as to make it a lot clearer.

Most hotels/apartments have towels and a water cooler in the Gym, we expected this and had to go back to the room to collect some hand towels

The view was spectacular and on the 17th floor very quite no traffic noise.

if you need a hotel very central than this is the one but if customer service is high on your list than this is not for you. Front desk service was atrocious.
Checking into room, window broken (which was fix later that night) bathroom sinks blocked ( fixed the following day) and toilet door broken ( never fixed) . so even before unpacking our bags we spent over and hour with maintenance in our room.
this hotel is quite noisy but clean and spacious.

On arrival we were greeted by the rudest service person we have ever experienced. Talk about being high and mighty, she didn't explain how to get to our apartment and when asked she rose her voice and said "it was easy" highlighting a very confusing map. There are three towers. Very confusing carparking arrangements so when we (QLD LOCALS) had trouble understanding the confusing layout then I shutter to think how tourists would cope.
But we had originally arranged to stay at this hotel/resort for three nights, which we paid for two weeks before arriving.
On the surface you would say it was clean, however, both bathrooms were filthy, the grime was cacked on so bad and the ceiling was mouldy. The diswasher stank and had food left over from the previous guests in the "catcher" thing. The pool and bbq area however was awesome. "Beaches in the Sky" was the name because it's up on level 5. We actually stayed on the same level and had a view of the shopping centre below, the beaches in the sky and we could see the ocean through the buildings. It was the location and the beach area that made us decide to extend our stay for another night. That and the fact our daughter is dying from a rare terminal brainstem tumour.
So down to reception we went and we had no problems with extending our stay, paying for it via eftpos seemed simply and easy.
Satisfied that we had extended our stay we enjoyed the location to the beach and Cavell Ave and popped down to Coles and brought some bleach to clean the bathroom. We didn't see one service person in our stay other than the security guards walking around at night.
When we went to check-out we had a lot of trouble. The rude receptionist we had encountered on arrival was back again to give us grief. Apparently we had overstayed our welcome and she was demanding that we pay another $200 for the previous night. When I explained that we had paid on the Wednesday, I was accused of lying and told that she would contact the police. Asking to speak to a manager, I was refused and told that there was no manager available on a Saturday. She would not even search her computer to find details of our booking.
Upon being told this, I completely lost it and asked very rudely and loudly to speak to someone above her. So out she goes and brings back a TEENAGER of about 16 I suppose who told me to settle down. Unimpressed, I told the teenager not to talk to me because there was no way she was higher up or more trained than rude receptionist.
Not being satisfied I walked out and told them they could call the police, but I had fully paid and I would speak to their manager on the Monday.
As soon as I walked out, they charged our credit card. So very unimpressed. It took three calls to management to sort out the charge. I wrote a written complaint and still have not received any call or letter or apology.
On the Saturday the building was also being painted inside without any ventilation and it was extremely unpleasant.
Our holiday was completely ruined. It left very sour grapes in my mouth and we will not be returning.
Funnily enough speaking to the security guard outside when I walked out (he came to find out if I was okay) he had out CHECK OUT date as the date I had extended it too and advised us that we were in the right.
We also spoke to another guest who had problems with reception but they were not going to complain as they didn't want to upset anyone.
Very disappointing. Would not recommend and will NOT return.

Room Tip: Do not recommend this property. It is unclean and not serviced regularly.

We've stayed here twice now and can't really fault the place. When you have an apartment on a high floor with a spacious balcony enjoying the picturesque views of both the ocean and river you can't really complain much.

Our apartment was privately owned and clean and had everything we needed in it. The supermarket and shopping was a quick ride down the lift. Amazing location with everything walking distance. Nice outdoor pool with a bbq area.

I've noticed some reviewers bagging this place because of a bad experience with the resellers of the apartments. Maybe the negative reviews should be directed at the real estate agents/resellers instead of the property itself.

Happy travels :-)

Room Tip: Get a high floor with ocean views
