Owner description: The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions. Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one. Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Night markets on every sat nights with street buskers along the way. Lots of people.. but some of the stall holders are not friendly... maybe they are just feeling lousy or too tired!........................

Part of the Gold Coast and an hours drive from Brisbane, Surfers PAradise and neighbouring beaches present world class surfing and beautiful sandy beaches. recent cyclonic activity has caused much erosion.
The city itself is "plastic", catering much for tourists with bright lights tinsel and glitter and the like. Otherwise great. I love on a mountain that looks over the high rise buildings and beyond to the Pacific Ocean and prefer the mountain any day.

A beautiful beach which is lovely to walk along. Great atmosphere. Even someone like me who isn't a fan on the water can appreciate it.

Love a walk on the beach and the surfs fantastic, Think it could do with cold drink vendors along the beach and some shade for families on holiday. You dont always want to walk to the resteraunts sandy and damp.
