“Expensive 8 mins”
Reviewed January 6, 2014 via mobile

Expected a lot more than what we paid for. We choose to do 2 movies but 1 would have been more than enough. Pretty expensive for a measly 8 mins.

Would not recommend.

“Better than expected... But a little expensive ”
Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Walking into the 7D cinema all was promising. Due to high cost opted for just one movie, the wall of China. 8 mins rocketed by but was an enjoyable experience. At 15 dollars a head seemed a bit over priced but overall was worth especially as my brother paid.

“Not bad but overpriced”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

This newish attraction sounded good so we tried it out, we selected a scary and adventure movie on a 2 movies for $25pp normally $15pp adult prices. The first movie we saw was scream house, pretty disapointing didn't really make much sense and wasn't very scary. The second one was great wall of china, this one was much better then the first movie and quite enjoyable. Overal it was ok to try but feel that the cost of the approx 8min movie/ride was very expensive and wouldn't go rushing back anytime soon. It was also strange that the operator couldn't explain a description of what each movie is basically about which made it hard to decide on which one to see.

Dear andyi79, thank you very much for taking the time and effort to post a review about 7D Cinema. We truly appreciate your feedback!

Lovely to read that you experienced our Wall of China movie as quite enjoyable. We are sorry that you did not find Scream House too exciting. Opinions of our visitors about this movie vary a lot, some people consider it very scary and others not at all. For our new shop (to be opened in December 2014) we are showing a new scary movie names 'Panic House'. I only watched the trailer without the Simulator movements or special effects and it was already scary! We hope you are willing to give it another go. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to get a Special Deal and see when we open.

It is quite difficult to explain our rides as they are more experiences than movies. There is not so much a story in it. It is quite possible that the person that spoke to you was one of our new staff. In that case she didn't see all the movies yet and would not be able to explain more in detail what they are about - our apologies for that!

We read a few comments on our pricing. For a little over $10 we offer a unique Virtual experience. There is nothing similar to our SImulator rides in Australiasia as our Simulator ensured the most amazing drops. We often put deals on our Facebook Page or offer the 2-for-$25 deal for people wanting to watch more movies. We also offer a Movie Pass with which you can watch all movies and save $50 in total!

7D Cinema is expanding as we started Franchising! We are opening our 2nd shop in the Gold Coast in one month and we are currently looking at retails in Sydney to open up our next shops. Have a look at Facebook.com/7dcinemas to see where we will open next as it might be close to you!

Looking forward to welcoming you again. Have a great day and once again, thank you for taking time to review us on Tripadvisor!

Kind regards,

Marlie van Doorn (Sales & Marketing Manager 7D Cinema - marlie@7dcinema.com.au)

Very good experience for 8 minutes, though a bit overpriced at $15 for adults and $12 for kids. My daughter enjoyed it thoroughly!
