“Great fun”

Very much a family venue with plenty to do. Dodgem Cars, Laser Tag, Mini Golf... the list goes on. Love that there is a combo pass available to purchase too.

“DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Will not be visiting EVER again. Worst experience I have ever had, ruining the rest of my day. “Lilly” is one of the most rude and inconsiderate person I have met. She wrongly accused my family of sharing our unlimited play package cards, which at no time had ever happened. She would not let me talk whenever I tried to explain the situation, whilst continually speaking over me and ignoring everything I had to say. She suspended both of our timed packaged game cards, even though her confusion was based on one person’s game card. Her reasoning was that we “got a good deal” already. The service of the staff and the handling of their customers disgust me. Overall, it is a below-average arcade, with very ordinary games and the worst customer service one will ever encounter. I played about 15 minutes of my 2-hour package before the issue came about. However, 15 minutes is all you need in there (if any at all). Don’t bother wasting your money or time here. Very disappointed!!

TimezoneSurfers, Manager at Timezone Surfers Paradise, responded to this review, April 28, 2014
Hi Irene945,

Based on the information provided, we did a thorough investigation through our system that records all the transactions and game plays based on the date and time of any individual card, which is linked to our security camera footage around our centre.

The conclusion of our finding shows that two customers brought a discount voucher from the Brisbane's Entertainment Book (that is not valid in our store). We considered their long trip to Surfers Paradise, and honoured this voucher. They bought 2 combo packages (buy one and get another one for free). As our company standard procedure, our customer service attendant (CSA) explained to them the package they bought and the condition of the purchase. The CSA also provided a flyer of the package to the customers, it clearly stated that the package is for one per person only and if the customer shares the card, it will be permanently deactivated. The customers breached the conditions of purchase by sharing their cards with other family members (who were not present while the two customers bought the packages but played the games) and the cards were de-activated.

Our managers and customer service attendants are doing their job based on the company procedure and we believe that we cannot discriminate one customer to the other. We treat the customers equally; explain to them the products they purchase and make sure the customers used their cards as per conditions of purchase.

To prevent the possibility of discomfort on your next visit and considering you will come with your family, we would like to suggest that maybe you can consider to purchase a 2 hours "family package" instead. There is a package for family of 4, 5 or 6 people available. Therefore, all of you could enjoy the real fun within our conditions of purchase.

“Had a blast!”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

Visited twice, once for 2 hrs, then kids insisted on 2nd visit for 3 hrs. Loved having so many different games including the laser sport and bumper cars. We all had fun, very noisy, but to be expected. Was very impressed that when my daughter misplaced her card the staff were able to issue another card so we didn't lose the two hours still left on car. Excellent service! More fun than the theme parks :-)

“Loads of Fun - Great for Young Children”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We were recommended by a friend to take the children to Time Zone in Surfers Paradise. Initially we thought there's plenty of Time Zones in Melbourne, why would we waste time going to a Time Zone in Gold Coast? But we were so glad we followed our friend's advice. The Time Zone in Surfers Paradise is HUGE with loads of variety of games for both younger children and older people. The prizes for redemption was good too.

At the time when we were there, there was a deal where you get a free game of bowling if you spend more than $50. plus you get bonus the more you spend. For example if you load the card for $50 you get $60 credit instead.

We spent a couple of rainy nights there and collected a number of little prizes for the kids. Highly recommended, especially if you have a few hours to kill. They open till late.
