“Good for a laugh.”

Surfers Paradise Tenpin
Attraction details
Reviewed April 6, 2013

This was a quick, spur of the moment visit. It's a bit old-school and to be honest the staff seemed more interested in their fast food lunch then us.

Music videos were playing, some flashing lights. Plenty of lanes. It was very quiet when we were there, atmosphere was pretty dead.

But we made the most of it and had fun anyway. A bit expensive I think (from memory about $15 a game) but good for a laugh.

There were 8 of us and we had 2 lanes for 16 games. We paid $25 each fro the 2 games.
There is no time limit on when the games need to be completed so we took our time and had a blast. They allow you to bring in some adult beverages, which we did and a great time. Not that adult beverages are needed for a great time but bowling makes a person thirsty.

We ended up playing for 1.5 hours, great entertainment for the price. Even though I bowled crappy.

$78 for 3 games between 2 people ?
I had to get the guy to check as I assumed he must have made a mistake.

Lack of air conditioning can make this unpleasant and the videos on a each lane are great (if you are 14 and like the music, I'm neither !)

Right in the middle of Surfers Paradise it attracts big numbers so they can charge higher prices, but over 50 quid for around 40 minutes entertainment ?

If you go I'm sure you'll have fun but you'll need to take plenty of hard earned with you...

Can be a bit expensive. Helpful staff. Kids were aged between 6 to 14 and we each had fun!! Would liked to have played longer but does get expensive but then again what isn't when on holidays! Can't be precise but I think it was around $70-$80 for 2 games. This did include shoe hire though
