Like I had just walked down a small lane in the middle of a country Japanese town.

Finally a yakitori restaurant not afraid of showing Australians what japanese food tastes like in Japan.

Decor is mixed and unpretentious which makes for a great night.

We sought this out based on reviews. food was good but certainly not exceptional. The waitress got the order all wrong which ended up costing us more. Very little atmosphere. Prices good, especially on drinks. Not a bad meal, but certainly not one worthy of a second mention.

We ate dinner twice here during our 5 night stay on the Gold Coast. We ate here twice because the food was so good. Fresh, tasty and authentic. The samurai noodles and yakitori chicken were the favourites around the table and a family of 4 ate until they were almost bursting for under $60! Well worth a visit.

It's a small restaurant. The don were nice. However, the samurai udon was a disappointment. The yakitori were average only.
