“Better than Japan!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

What a find! Hidden down in a little arcade under the Monte Carlo, this yakitori restaurant was really good. Lots of choice, great service, delicious vegetarian options and cheap as chips! I ordered way too much because it was so good I wanted to try everything. A small Teriyaki Tofu could feed 2, came with little spring rolls and a yummy mixed vegetable tempura mix. The yakitori style sweet potato i got also came in corn, onion & mushrooms. Rice ball with cheese was pretty tasty too. Needless to say I couldn't eat it all but for $17 for the lot I could afford to leave what I couldn't finish. There were lots of non vegetarian dishes too but you know if they can do this well for vegos feeding you meat eaters will be a walk in the park. I highly recommend you give Samurai's Paradise a try you won't be dissapointed.

“Real Japanese food - as good as Japan!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

excellent yakatori restaurant in surfers paradise. Highly recommend. Very reasonably priced, some of the best Japanese food I have had outside Japan (shame no Sushi). Knowledgable and friendly Japanese chef and staff. It's tucked away in a mall opposite the Gucci store. One of the best meals we've had in Australia.

“Amazing but watch out for the rocket fuel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

Hidden and small but well worth the hunt. We fell over this place on a recent trip and were amazed at the ambiance, food, pricing and the staff being true to their heritage. Only yoiung bucks but very friendly and they will do whatever to ensure a fun and enjoyable time. Only a small number of tables but that ensures expectional service. We had a dishes we had never tried before (no tofu as we are meat eaters) and stayed trying different drinks for some time after the meal without feeling a hint of pressure to leave. (Watch out for the sweet poatato drink = 25 % rocket fuel). The menu has many options and should not scare off anyone who has not had this style of food before. Not a word I like to use but the food is cheap but the qualitry is high. We will be returning soon thats for sure. (Check out the salt on the ground by the front door. Its the little things that count)

“Favourite Japanese on the Gold Coast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

We love Samurais Paradise. Very yummy Soba noodles and Teriyaki tofu!
The food is always yummy, good ambiance, nice music, very kind & friendly staff, all makes for a fun and pleasant meal.
Tucked away in the little arcade on the corner of Elkhorn av and Orchid av in Surfers, it's a hidden gem.
Highly Recommend... Takoyaki roulette ($4.90), Yakitori sticks (5 for $8), Teriyaki tofu and veg ($8.40), Tsukmono pickled veg ($3.50) and the Wakame Soba noodles bowl ($7.50).

Will be back for more delicious food for sure!
