“Wonderful day”

Fanastic tour! Small groups so you get the most out of each spot on the tour. Our guide was great, she had a really good relationship with everyone we met on the mountain, made the tour very personal. It was a carefree day, being picked up and dropped off from the gold coast, had some awesome liquors, great wines and good laughs. Really recommend booking with them for a awesome day out.

“Great to experience something so different yet so close to home.”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Amazing to experience something different, visited a distillery, 3 wineries and brewery. Learnt about how wine is made from the vine to the fermentation and storage as well as all the different types of grapes. Great for amateurs like myself or knowledgable wine connoisseurs alike. So many beautiful local vineyards producing yummy wines I would never have known about. Thank you Cheryl, a unique and enjoyable day out for a group of girlfriends, will definitely be returning.

Such a chilled out and relaxing time up in the hills, lunch was awesome and wines were great. Recommend this tour to a small group of friends or a couple that just needs some time out.

“Great even for beginners”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

A friend gave us vouchers for this tour and it was really good value. The owner Cheryl picks you up from either your house or hotel. She picked us up from Surfers paradise and dropped us there again. The tour went roughly from 10am-3pm which gave us enough time to check into our hotel first and also got us home early enough to change and make dinner arrangements without a rush. It might sound like a very short 'all day' tour but it is a full on day and just the right length.

It is a very personal experience with only a maximum of 6 people at a time, if you go on a weekday you are probably more likely to get a smaller group. Cheryl was a very safe driver and flexible if we wanted to get out at a lookout or stop longer for lunch etc which was lovely.

About the wineries: We are not usually into wine but the wineries were absolutely amazing. There is even a distillery and a cheese factory to visit which breaks it up a little. Cheryl had a great ability to 'meet us where we were at' in terms of explaining certain wines to us and helping us find what we like.

The wineries do offer tastings usually and you don't have to go on a tour to do them but what you are paying for is a) being picked up and driven around all day b) the expert knowledge of the tour guide who takes you to only the better wineries in the Mt Tambourine region because of course there are many and some are better than others. I also got the feeling that if we had not had a guide the winery staff may not always have been so friendly and accommodating or may have pushed us to purchase more. Cheryl keeps them on track and guides them towards wines she thinks you will like. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase but you probably will. We had no intention of buying anything and came home with 6 bottles, some cheese and even some bread!

Best parts: The distillery
Could be better: The cheese factory - not the fault of the operator but it just isn't as cool as expected and compared to the amazing personal experience at other venues the cheese factory just didn't seem to care about us as much. Still great cheese and helpful enough staff.

Remember: You need to buy lunch (it is delicious and well worth the money around $22-32 a main) You need to pay $10 if you want to do beer tasting at the cheese factory (again if you like different boutique beers it is worth it) Take a bottle of water it is a long day and even though venues often had water tasting all that wine can give a new girl a bit of a thick tongue!

We had an amazing day, I would definitly recommend this tour to anyone. Cherly our guid was great, she picked us up from out home and drove us round stopping to tell us things on the way, she was very personal and made an extra effort as it was our friends Birthday.
The places we visited were lovely offering a range of different wines, beers and food. It was a perfect day out and at a great value, I would highly recommend it.
