“A great fine-dining venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Our party of six enjoyed a fine evening at Seaduction last night. Our initial impressions were of a calm oasis in bustling Surfers. The decor was very good; the seating arrangements thoughtfully laid out so that everyone had views of the beach & ocean; and the lighting enhanced the ambience of the place.

This clearIy is an expensive restaurant, particularly the wine list, so you're unlikely to get away with much less than $120/head. However, the standard of the food and its presentation is of the highest order, and overall the experience is well worth it. It provides a sophisticated dining experience overlooking Surfers' main playground!

The service standards from the staff could do with some work, with some direction and training probably being the answer. They were certainly eager and willing, and very well presented. The restaurant manager was very professional and helpful.

Will visit again.

“Great lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Enjoyed a long business lunch in Dec. and really enjoyed.
The food, wine and service were excellent...and the location and outlook are unbeatable.
Great menu, a bit expensive, but worth it. Good wine list, with a range in quality/price.
Free car parking under building was a bonus.
Will go again.

“Great decor, amazing food, and good service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

Slowly the Gold Coast is starting to come of age with great venues that are classy, with good service, and amazing food.
Just recently awarded 2 hats, it's easy to see why. The food and presentation is amazing.
The decor is lovely and welcoming, and the views over the crashing waves of the ocean are calming.
A perfect venue to celebrate a special event!
Prices are a little on the high side, and portion sizes are slightly on the smaller side, but you can order additional sides (broccolini, truffled mash, tempura vegetables, etc.).
Try ordering a Lychee Martini as you wait for the dinner service to begin! You won't be disappointed!
We'll be back!

“Great for the GC, but they still have someway to go.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Went to Seaduction on a Weds night, and had the degustation. W arrived and were promptly seated and asked if we would like some water... fantastic, and then given menus. 15 minutes passed before anyone asked if we would like a drink, and then I ordered a martini. Another waiter took our food order (the degustation) and before the martini had arrived our first matching wine arrived!

Then the next five courses came at a great rate until we mentioned that they could slow down and be less fast food like.

We scored it over the 5 courses, plus service (10 points each = total of 60 points) at 43/60.

“Be seduced by food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Celebrated long term friendship over a wonderful lunch. Greeted by maitre'd and throughout meal was very well looked after by wait staff. Select menu with dishes to satisfy our tastes - I enjoyed the tortellini entree, duck main and marshmallow dessert. Don't ask about specials as apparently every dish is 'special'. 3 courses plus glass of wine for under $80 which was worth it considering the quality of the food, service and view over the beach.
