My husband & I stayed here from 12-19th June 2013....We had a clean & bright apartment on the 12th floor facing the ocean & a view up the main st in Surfers. We watched the beautiful sunrise each morning & saw whales passing in the distance each morning also (bring your binoculars) Front desk friendly..and when we had trouble with the door lock, it was attended to immediately by a friendly & helpful locksmith.
The only drawback was the 24/7 roadworks directly outside our building...they are constructing a railway system going through the main st in Surfers paradise from Southport to Broadbeach....ready for the Commonwealth games in 2018.
They use the noisiest machinery at night! (jackhammers, concrete saws, backhoes etc & beeping reversing trucks!) Earplugs are definately needed if you stay here. Also just across the road from The Hardrock Cafe, which rocks until 4.30am! I don't think this is a good time to stay with all the road works causing traffic chaos. On the positive side, it is an excellent location right in the heart of Surfers & you can walk everywhere. (if you don't mind noise!) Maybe an apartment on the other side of the building wouldn't be so noisy..but you wouldn't get the stunning sea view.More
