We booked an ocean view room through Priority Privilege using a 2 nights for the price of 1 voucher. When making my booking, and selecting the 2 for 1 voucher tab, the prices displayed for the room selection were already discounted 50%. This was not made clear and leads you to thinking it is the full nightly rate. Thus when it came time to check out, the total was actually double what I had anticipated having to pay. I feel the wording when making the booking is ambiguous and I am very sure I am not the only one to make this mistake ( as pointed out by the receptionist ).

Despite that, the room was very spacious, clean with full bar service, free parking and a beautiful ocean view. So despite paying more than I expected, I was still very happy with the hotel and its facilities.

it's a bit far from the vibrant part of surfer's paradise, around 15 min walk. the room was just amazing! very clean and comfortable and the view to the ocean is stunning! over all the services and staff were also great. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

Stayed 8 nights at this hotel last week, with a friend and my 9 year old daughter. The staff were so welcoming and helpful during our stay and we couldn't of asked for anything more. We had a ocean view twin room with fabulous views and my daughter practically lived in the pool every arvo after we got bk from our aadventures. The pool was a great size 1.1m which was wonderful to use for kids or adults wanting to cool down. Concierege staff were amazing as you never felt like you couldn't ask them anything and i asked a lot lol. Short taxi ride to surfers township which cost approx $9-$11 and bus stops on either side just a hop step and a jump. Ordered room service and the food was delicious and didn't cost the earth. Overall my daughter loved the hotel so i couldn't ask for much more :)

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms def have a beautiful view levels 10 up :)

My visit to this hotel was done on rewards points so it made it an amazing value! Although it was a rewards stay, the hotel gave me an amazing room; oceanview, high floor, King! The room was huge, bathroom had a soaking tub and separate shower, views from all sides were incredible! This Crowne although a bit tired, was squeaky clean- there is free parking, and the front desk service was exceptional. The only drawback to this hotel is it is a bit far the any action. We walked one way to dinner at the Broadbeach area, took the monorail to the casino, and then decided to take a cab home as we had done enough for the day. It is also about a 3 block walk to a non-patrolled section of beach and another few hundred meters to patrolled beach. All in all a great place to stay!

Room Tip: Ask for high up, oceanview.

We stayed for just one night at the Crowne Plaza Gold Tower on the way from Sydney further up the coast to Noosa, and took in Movieworld too. The room was very spacious, king bed, plus double sized sofa bed for the kids. Lovely set out bathroom and kitchenette which was a big plus.
We spent the afternoon by the pool, which was clean and a great size. All in all a very nice stay.

We have stayed in the Gold Tower of the Crowne Plaza a number of times now and have had a consistently good experience every time. Our last stay was in December and our room was a King Deluxe Spa Ocean View. We were on the 19th floor with a great view of the ocean. I especially appreciate the layout of the room which gives you a separate dressing area next to the bathroom with a large place to rest your bags and hang your clothes, The bathroom and toilet are also separate in this room configuration. There is a balcony with outdoor seating, a sofa and a king bed - quite a spacious room. I also inquired about the one bedroom suites on checkout and a staff member took me on a short tour of other options for when we stay again later in the year. The suites include a kitchenette and laundry so would be good value if we stay for longer. We have a Priority Privilege membership so had a discounted breakfast at Relish Restaurant - lovely buffet with a pleasant outlook over the pool area. First Avenue Tavern next door serves simple bistro type meals. The hotel is walking distance from the beach and a short drive to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. Parking is free, staff are very helpful. A great place for us to stay when visiting friends on the Gold Coast.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in early January for a relaxing break and this hotel was comfortable. We were in the Gold Tower and specifically requested this knowing it was newer than the original tower. We opted for the one bedroom spa apartment which boasted two balconies and a sizeable living/dining area.
Unfortunately the room was bordering on the side of 80's porn-film set with lots of wooden panelling and the green marble bathroom but it was clean and comfortable so I can't complain.
The first night we chose the seafood indulgence package and ate at the Four Winds revolving restaurant. This was nice enough, although one visit was enough and I wouldn't return.
The location of this hotel was quite awkward being a 15 minute walk to Cavill and a 15-20 minute walk to Broadbeach. The front counter service was very good and the breakfast was also very good.
In hindsight I wouldn't choose this hotel again. For the price range I would rather stay at the Watermark or Q1 which offers considerably more modern rooms and decor and a more convenient location.

Room Tip: The spa suite is not very good value for money. Don't bother paying extra for the spa, it's...

Dear Emmajayde,
Thank you for sharing your comments with the TripAdvisor community at large and I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations in terms of location and value for money, but I appreciate your constructive personal observations.
The Gold Tower is located mid way between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, which for many of our regular guests is a key benefit as they enjoy our close proximity to both suburbs. We also provide complimentary parking which many other Gold Coast hotels do not.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to look after you nonetheless and should you wish to try our Main Tower here at Crowne Plaza, then please do not hesitate to contact me as I will be happy to assist you personally with your arrangements.
