“Clean and quiet.”
Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 5 nights. The staff were very professional. The room was clean and quiet and in a great location. We booked online so got a deal for the studio refurbished room and buffet breakfast $129 per night. The room had beds for 5 people, but was cozy enough for two (I wouldn't recommend more than 2 or 3). The a/c was broken on arrival but the staff came and fixed it immediately (no access to fresh air in room). The sauna was broken so we didn't get to try it and one pool was closed off too (which was a shame). But the pool and spa we did try was lovely. It was such good value for the price.

We only stayed here for 1 night, but were quite satisfied with thenewly renovated rooms. The only negative things to mention are they that the AC didn't seem to be very cool making the room rather hot. Also, took exception to them charging us for the car park, given a lot of neighbouring hotels offer their guests free car parking. We opted for the package on arrival to include car parking, breakfast in the members lounge. The member's lounge was being upgraded at the time so therefore this was relocated to a temporary smaller space.

Good hotel close to all amenities in surfers.

Went here for a work gathering overnight stay. Private function room, lovely food and good service. Breakky next morning in waves buffet was very good food and service wise loved the personally made omelettes to order. Highly recommend this hotel, basic hotel room clean and all you need for an overnight or short stay, problem with our internal door which was fixed immediately.

I booked a superior room for 4 nights. Room was reasonably large, with 2 queen beds. Comfy pillows & bed. Room 724, which looked towards the canals & distant hills. The Gold Coast Highway was right below, but I didn't hear traffic noise. Actually, the room was very quiet. All the usual facilities were provided, toiletries, coffee/tea, aircon. Towels changed each day, bed linen on day three. Safe was in the wardrobe. Large lcd tv, but no bedside clock/radio, which I missed during the night, when I needed to see the time. Buffet brekky was $24, too pricey for me. Reception staff were quite pleasant. Check-in & out, efficient. There seemed to be a continual strong smell of pot pouri in the lifts & corridor, which I found somewhat over the top, but overall, a pleasant stay. The bus stops were close to the hotel, on G.Coast H/way, so quite convenient for trips to Sea World, Currumbin, Broadbeach & Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. I found the bus fares, even for seniors (half fare) to be quite pricey. The Go Card seems to be the way to go, but you first have to purchase the card, and I found it wouldn't be worth it for the few days I was there. It does work out considerably cheaper with the Go Card, so if staying longer, certainly worth it. There is also a public bus that goes to the airport, which was handy. Just under $6 half fare for seniors, pretty good. Catch it (702 I think it was) at the same bus stop near hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. As I had booked on 2 different websites our first night was on the 12th floor and had a great view. I was advised to move rooms as my next booking was for a nicer refurbished room so we did - however we went to the 3rd floor with no view and the room wasn't much different - I would've stayed up higher had I known. The higher room had wine glasses of which there were none in the newer room and I love views! The only criticism was the room was cold and although I turned the heat up nothing changed. Overall a nice hotel and I would stay here again. Great location too - walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Not right on the avenue but that is a good thing. This hotel is 5 minutes walk to the central strip and 200 metres to a patrolled beach. The coach terminal is a short walk away, the new tram service will be at the door while the local bus service, including those which run to the airport (No. 702: takes about 40 minutes), is adjacent to the hotel and there are some excellent eateries within 5 minutes walk. The hotel itself has several eateries and a bar. Several rooms have been recently refurbished. We had one of these on the 5th Floor. It had a view over the swimming pool (no noise problems) and further views across the canals to the mountains.
