Great location in the middle of surfers, nice pool and friendly staff. The room was cheap and met all our needs. Good compact kitchen with dishwasher and kitchen table, deck with a great view and a small bathtub. The only downside was the cheap bedding, two cheap single box springs pushed together didn't give a very good night sleep. All round a nice hotel for the price though.

The hotel is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Extremely convenient to go to the beach, go shopping and dining. The hotel is big but I would say the staff to customers ratio is not ideal. A lot of time we have to wait in the main desk and the concierge to be served. Service is just okay. Breakfast cafe is clean and cozy but the food variety is not very wide. Poor bed, there is no proper blanket in the room and you can feel the thick brown blanket is not cleaned. Water tab is old and you can easily got wet on your body by simply washing your hands...

I stayed there for 2 days. The stay was comfortable, breakfast good (not lavish). In-room small kitchenette is helpful. The view from room was amazing and the balcony was an additional benefit. Only shocker was when in the a/noon, a hotel guy knocked on the door and without waiting barged into the room after opening with master key. This was the first day that I had checked-in. On finding me lying asleep, he was extremely apologetic and regretful. Barring that, the stay was largely comfortable, staff helpful and even willing to tread extra for you. Good facility.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the main road and river are great.

When we checked into our room we tried to use micro oven sparks began coming out of it due to build up of grease & fats, not very hygienic !! also bedside table light did not work, they then transferred us to another room, we had to ask for replacement towels, tea bags & milk, sugar, shampoos etc,the safe would not work & to cap all this off they charge $20 for every hour or part thereof after check out time 10 am, very disappointing !!!

Room Tip: Our room faced east, nice view !!

Very dissatisfied with our stay at Mantra Legends.
I've noticed on some reviews management have stated that the rooms have be refurbished or you could stay in a deluxe room.
When I looked at the photos and read the room description there was no option of being able to stay in a old dilapidated room or a deluxe new room.
I had an ocean view room which was a good view when I cleaned the windows on the verandah myself so I could actually see the ocean.
Tv was from the eighties and could hardly see anything on the remote from the filth.
The mould and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was not appealing.
The pool was full of grime, scum, hair and some other filth I couldn't bring myself to swim in it. The seafood buffet was very ordinary and also ordered off the menu and even the chips were raw.
In saying that the breakfast was included in the price and was not to bad.
To sum it up this place is way overpriced and definitely should have its star rating reviewed.
I will never stay in a Mantra hotel again.
On a positive the gentleman was very helpful at concierge they are doing a great job.

It is near the bus stop to go to various places. Walking distance to the mall & beach, on the fringe of the mall. We stayed in the hotel on 2 occasions, the first room was a suite on the top floor which does not have a balcony but the room was bigger than the 2nd one, a suite too and 1 floor lower, which has a balcony all round and we enjoyed the full sea view. The room without the balcony has a side view of the sea.
Full amenities in the room, a basic gym and swimming pool. There is a computer room on the ground floor with free internet. Have to pay for wifi in the room. Room was supposed to be refurbished but it still looks dated. The spa bath looks old and dirty.
No washing machine and dryer in the suite.
Waited a long time for housekeeping to make the bed on the 1st occasion and had to call them thrice.
The 2nd time was quick.

Room Tip: ask for full seaview. No corner rooms as the building is rectangular, corner rooms are bigger but co...

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it thoroughly. We stayed in.superior studio room,it was a little small but we weren't in it for much during the day anyway,,,it was clean and tidy with all the things you require,NOTE you have a hot plate in the room but the fire detector is right above the sink so if you get a crumb on the element you will set off the smoke alarm incurring a call out fee from fire dept so we ate out,,,the bathroom was a little small to put your toiletries but otherwise very clean. the hotel has a huge lobby to sit around in with comfy chairs and the pool is right off there as well, there is a bar located in the lobby also with outside poolside tables to enjoy your drinks and meals,,,,,the pool is great with good quality chairs and has adjoining gym, sauna and steam room,,that was great!!!!!. Very clean as well......staff were great and very helpful we had a problem with the laundry and were quick to check it out and help with the breakdown of equipment.
Be warned though they charge for parking,,$17 per day,but they recommended a park station around the corner for $37 the week..if you need quick access to your car leave it at the hotel,we didn't mind the walk to get the car approx 100 mtrs...all in all a nice stay

Room Tip: Request a high room when booking,we were on the 11th floor and had a lot of noise from the night clu...
