“Excellent low cost accommodation.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

I stayed here in a 1 bedroom apartment for 8 days with my sister and my son in may 2013. The rooms were fantastic, they had everything we needed and were decent sized. The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean. Bathroom was the best, huge vanity and mirror. Kitchen had everything you needed. Hotel grounds need a tidy up though. We decided to stay here simply because of the cost. It is very cheap and right in the heart of surfers. You are literally meters away from everything, mall, Hard Rock Cafe, sky point, supermarket, bus stop, beach etc! The only complaint I have is the hotel restaurant, the food is terrible and the staff were not happy to help in any way. Definitely avoid it! But the main reception staff were lovely!!!! Always chatty and cheerful! Would definitely stay again :-)

Good location handy to Surfers paradise , a short walk , very central .
The property is old could do with upgrade.
House keeping and office staff very good and helpful at all times.
Our stay was pleasant, a little under our expectations due to the old age of the property, however did not distract from our holiday.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at this hotel. While being very basic I found the check in staff very helpful, the rooms to be quite spacious and a good size verandah. The room we had did smell a little of cigarette smoke but the balconys were very open all along so I don't think it could have been avoided. The gaming area was a bonus for those that like a little Vegas touch. We ate in the dining room the first night and the food was top quality at a very reasonable price. The location was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: One bedroom apartment good value.

We love the hotel!!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and straight away help us check-in. Since we had booked & pre-paid the room earlier, the check-in didn't take long. We booked 2 rooms. Parents room were facing the main road of Surfers Paradise and the beach, well not directly but hey, still a very nice morning view. The other room, we had a good view too, and since we were on the top floor, all good! The room was clean, with basic needs, fridge, tv, spacious cupboard, comfy beds, clean bathroom, a/c, coffee maker, all good.
Friendly staff - i said so because when i wanted to get the theme park tics the night before, they gave me the rate and said i can get it the next morning. And so i did the next morning, and to make it a happy day, the staff managed to get me the cheapest theme park tics, instead of paying AUD110 per person (it was a 3 theme park package), we only paid AUD90 each and we get to go for all 3 theme parks. Some may think it's not much different but it is. Also they were very helpful and help to answer whatever questions/inquiries that you have. With a smile, all the time.
They have swimming pool, bar, pool table, arcade games machines.....also, i find it comfortable when i use the WiFi (would have to buy/pay to use - price is AUD5 for 24hrs) at the lobby and mixed with other travelers.
My family members have no complaint and we would love to go back and stay at the hotel again.
Everything & everywhere is just within walking-distance. Good feng-shui i would say :)

Room Tip: Do ask for top floor rooms if you wanna have good view.

For backpackers on a budget this place was a great find! It was like luxury compared to the average hostel. The room had more of a hotel feel with an en-suit bathroom and was very clean. There were lockers big enough to store luggage and there was a balcony with a good view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You get free access to the pool which is great when you want to get away from the sand on the beach. It's a perfect distance from the town and the beach. I would highly recommend staying here!

The staff in the backpacker side were not very friendly which is a shame as that's the first person you see, had to wait until 1:30pm to check our bags in, the rooms were ok, 4 bedded mixed dorm had a nice balcony and big enough lockers to store you bags with locks on them, the bathrooms and showers were in the rooms, the kitchen was ok just a bit small and not a lot of pots and pans

Definitely not a 3 star hotel and if you are staying in this area for 3 or more nights than you should book a nice serviced apartment for a similar rate. But for only slightly more than 100 bucks on a Sat night, and being right in the middle of all Surfers has to offer, I can't really have too many complaints. My main issue was that my end room had a "window" in the bathroom that was open to the elements but you could not tell this by looking at it considering the design of it. So when i left the bathroom light on for an hour while resting in bed before going out, i noticed a mosquito and other fun Australian insect party when i went to take a shower. Luckily the spare toilet paper roll makes quite an effective bug swatter and i was able to plug the hole with my other shower towel!
