We stayed here for 2 nights over New Years. This was our second stay at the hotel and to be honest I didnt think it was as good as our first but is still a good place to stay. Bed is really comfy and the views from our room were just lovely. Nice and clean and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

The only negative of our stay was that there were a few NYE parties on at the hotel, which was completely fine however even though we were paying guests at the hotel there was absolutely no where in the hotel where we could go without having to pay for the NY party ($110 minimum per person). This meant that the only way we could have a drink at the hotel was ordering room service. I thought this was fairly rich when we didnt get discounted room rates however weren't able to use the bar areas at all in the hotel on NY eve. There really should have still been an area for guests to have a drink without having to be $110 each. This was the only down side and unfortunately the staff didnt seem very bothered that this was a problem for a few people.

Overlooking the above we would stay here again and I would recommend it.

The rooms are amazing there's no doubt, we love coming back to a busy day to our ocean view king suite. But the service is an absolute joke I'm an easy going person but really the place is completely run by 18 year olds with no clue or care.
Firstly the "guaranteed 2pm check in" did not happen. Girl at counter sneerily told us to hang around, she will call someone to check when the room would be ready and she would find us n let us know. 5mins later after sitting in plain sight and seeing nothing happen I walked up to the counter again and she had completely forgotten who i was.

Secondly we have this lemonade stand set up in the room, with a card detailing how to make the lemonade and a number to call so they can "bring it right up". So I call to get the lemonade and am told that they are too busy, we were supposed to get it downstairs when we checked In. Well no one told us that. So I decide to wait till the next day. This time we are told they "don't do that anymore", if we want lemonade we get a glass made down near reception. I asked why we have the set up In our room with the card and also was mentioned when we brought the room online. Well it was a "mistake".
Now I'm staying In their most expensive room paying full rate, don't you think instead of saying it's a mistake they could just bring up the lemon and syrup like advertised?

Meanwhile we have had someone come to our door 3 times in 2 days to check if the mini bar needs refilling...So they can't be too busy. they really only care about the money side of things, you can forget about 'complimentary'. Not that spending a grand on accom for one weekend makes anything here complimentary.

That's just a snippet of the little annoying things that have happened as I don't wanna waste my time writting the rest.

The only bad thing about my holiday was this hotel. Don't let it ruin yours.

A lesson in false advertising. This hotel needs to learn the difference between "Ocean View" and "Partial Ocean View", especially when the view room type is associated with the largest most expensive rooms on the property. Everyone who travels a lot &/or has worked in the hotel biz knows not all rooms are created equal in a given price range. That's why it is up to the properties to provide honest descriptions and honorable pricing to go with it. Simply put, this place is a rip off. You could do worse for sure, but we are savvy travelers and know how to book rooms. I'm sorry but 3rd floor for a King Balcony Suite w/ spa and an 80% obstructed view in flat out dishonest. Oh and about 30' from some giant A/C units. Classy. This is a 17-20 floor hotel. I knew when we checked in the 3rd floor would be a problem but they had no interest in hearing our concerns. If they only listed rooms in the lower floors as partial views, everything would be cool. Do the right thing QT - quit faking it. One more thing, $18 ($20 US) per day for internet access is a ridiculous rip off, much like the rest of your nickel & dining. Thank god we are moving to Palazzo Versace tomorrow.

Room Tip: they will charge you for EVERYTHING, even the instant coffee already in your room. Beware and read your in-room guides for a long list of charges.

An all round great hotel! The refurb is awesome and the complimentary lemonade making is a nice twist. We frequently stay here for a weekend away and always enjoy it. Hinterland views are great and the whole hotel has a great atmosphere about it.

Found this Hotel through TripAdvisor. Very hip, very sexy & modern. Had a beautiful view of the mountain ranges and was not obstructed by any other building. Staff was very helpful and the bar Stingray was a nice hangout on a Friday night. Close to most attractions. Would come back here again the next time I'm in surfers.
