Owner description: SkyPoint Observation Deck is located on Levels 77 and 78 of the Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise and is Australia's only beach side observation deck. Rising a sheer 230 meters into the sky, SkyPoint is one of the Gold Coast's most popular attractions and has become a must see destination for locals and visitors alike. It provides stunning 360 degree panoramic views that stretch from the surf to the hinterland and beyond and provides the perfect location for visitors to experience the shimmering Gold Coast skyline at night or take in views from Brisbane to Byron Bay during the day. Enjoy a freshly prepared meal from Seventy7 Cafe and Bar as you spot whales migrating along the eastern coast or as a new storm rolls in. SkyPoint Observation Deck is a must-see for all Gold Coast visitors. With unrivalled 360 degree views from the coast to the hinterland, mini-theatrette and informative feature zones and displays that provide all the information you need to plan your holiday hit list. By night, SkyPoint Observation Deck transforms into a chic, high altitude lounge bar with music every Friday and Saturday night and Sunset Sounds on Sunday afternoon. Enjoy drinks and delicious platters with friends and take in the glittering skyline. SkyPoint Observation Deck is an 18+ venue on Friday and Saturday night from 8pm.

The views from the top of the Q1 Observation Deck are incredible. You can see from the ocean to the mountains and every suburb from Southport up to Burleigh Heads. The lift journey up to the Ob Deck is incredibly fast and with the glass roof of the lift you can see the lift shaft as you ascend and descend. The cafe/bar however is pretty average and nothing to write home about. There were few people on the Ob Deck when we were there at lunch time, and can only assume that is because of the excessive cost of access. I am glad to have been there but would not bother going again for a meal or until the cost of access was reduced. Such a shame as it could be a brilliant venue with a better menu and service.

We decided to go check it out using a buy 1 get the second half price, otherwise I would also rate this as a very expensive lift ride. The view is amazing but the price of everything up there is a little extraordinary considering it's only surfers paradise and not Sydney or Melbourne.
Still worth visiting if your into checking out the scenery from that high, way better during the day.

Awesome views of the coastline. Best on a clear day with blue sky. Probably a bit expensive to do a few times, but definitely worth at least one visit.

Little pricey but in line with similar attractions around the world. Fast lift and friendly greeting as you walk in. Not too crowded.

After a very quick lift ride, you are on the observation deck.

Stunning views up & down the coastline, hinterland & canal developments.

Can be quite noisy.

Cafe on this level to buy food & drink (very long wait on day we were there).

Great place for photos of iconic Gold Coast coastline.
