I stayed at the Surfers Chalet with a group of 5 friends in November/December 2011
On the website it stated that check in was 2 but we were unable to have access to our rooms til 5:30/6, on 2 of the 7 days the lift didn't work so we had to walk up and down the stairs and we were not provided with toilet paper.
We paid a bond on $200 dollars each that covered any damages we may have done to the unit.
We kept our unit in good order and prior to checking out we wiped the tables down, took out our rubbish, put the dishes in the dishwasher, took our sheets off the bed, put a load of washing on and vacuumed the floor.
After leaving and trying to obtain the bond, they said that we had stained the bathroom with tanning spray when NONE of us used it on the whole entire trip and that we left the kitchen "messy" so each were deducted $12.67.
In our rent for the week we were paying for cleaning but on top of that were charged a total of $76 dollars! And for what? To wipe the tables down and mop the floor in the kitchen!
Poor effort on the hotels part.
Would not stay there again.More
