We were delighted by the amazing views of both the river and ocean from our corner 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was enormous, light and airy with a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the ocean view. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use and everything was clean.
It was central to shops and restaurants and the pools were clean and great to relax by and swim in. The indoor pool had a lane for laps which was terrific.

Room Tip: High up corner apartment for great views It is a bit noisy (traffic and Saturday early morning revellers) , even on the high floors , so sleep with windows closed.

My wife and i arrived here after a 10 day road trip in a campervan and enjoyable as it was we needed some relaxtion and comfort, i'm glad to say this hotel delivered exactly that. It's a huge twin towered building and we had a 1 bedroom spa apartment on the 31st floor of the south tower for 4 days. We had a spectacular river view which lets the sunshine stream into your balcony from afternnoon to sunset. The balcony is a great size that runs along to the bedroom and with the sliding doors it opens up to make the living area one large space. Its a serviced hotel and for self catering everything you need is there a real home from home. It has a very modern kitchen and bathroom although some of the furnishings looked a little out of place and there were a couple of minor signs of wear and tear. I slept well on the memory foam matress in a good size bedroom with loads of storage and hanging spaces. The bathroom had a large spa bath with a large window again giving access to the brilliant views from the comfort of the tub! The apartment was serviced with new towels and a minor freshen up daily. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Did'nt have much contact with the staff , i take this as a sign of a smooth operation. For me the hotels greatest asset is the location. After leaving the building via one of the many high speed lifts you enter Cavill mall which is almost the centre of surfers. Every amenity , shop , bar restaraunt and the beach too is either around you or moments away. If you dont go to the beach the hotel has 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pools aswell as gym facilities and steam rooms etc. If you want all day sun you have to go between the pools on the north and south towers, the pool on the south(afternoon sun) has a lack of chairs and sun loungers. security is high at the hotel but constantly carrying a fob and scanning every 2nd door you go through aswell as the lifts becomes a pain after a while. There is no bar or restaraunt in the hotel, there are loads nearby but quantity does not mean quality unfortuneatly but that is the style of surfers!

Room Tip: Evening sun ask for a river view.

I had read a number of reviews lately complaining about the cleanliness of the hotel and having issues with the staff. We experienced none of that, our experience was positive.

We rented out a 3 bedroom apartment located on the 45th floor (there are 49 floors). We had a STUNNING view of the beach, and could see straight down Cavill Avenue and into the heat of surfers. The balcony was huge, the apartment was massive!

GOOD
+ The View. 45th floor, view of the ocean = amazing

+ The Facilities. Indoor (heated) poor. 2 outdoor pools. Spa. Sauna. Steam Room. Gym. Gaming Room. There are a lot of facilities but a lot of people can stay here too so I could imagine it would get busy - thankfully it wasn't too bad while we were there.

+ The Apartment. It was massive. 3 bedrooms all reasonably sized. 2 balconies, one huge, one small. 2 lounge areas. Kitchen. TV, the works. Also, unlike some of the recent reviews the apartment was clean and well maintained.

+Checkin/out was handled quickly. The chap at the front desk provided more than enough instructions on how to find a car park (we were even given a second parking space) and how to find our room.

+ Location. The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of Cavill Avenue. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Restaurants, cafes all near by. There is a grocery store (Woolworths) right out the front so it's easy to stock up. Fantastic.

THE BAD
+ When we were going to check out we did have to wait about 10 minutes for an elevator which I thought was pretty crazy.

Overall though other than a minor issue with the elevator taking so long, there wasn't anything really wrong here. It was a good hotel in a central location.

Room Tip: The higher the better!

Reading previous trip advisor reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but the hotel was amazing.
The only trouble we had - seeing as we were staying with another couple in a two bedroom ocean spa appartment, one of the rooms had 2 single beds.
We called reception and the assured us that we will get changed to a different room so we waited about an hour and didnt want to unpack, nobody came so i went down and they said the same thing and half hour later a man came to our room with sheets to zip the two beds together.
It worked out to be fine in the end but servous was a bit slow.
The room itself was beautiful, we were lucky enough to be on level 30 on a corner room so we had amazing veiws of the beach and the river.
All in all was a good stay although would only stay there again if i got a good deal

Room Tip: Ask for a high corner room and tell them before hand of the bedding arrangments you want

Hotel was excellent to stay. Great location and amenities.
just some issues i had. The housekeeping was good except for the fact they forget to change the towels sometimes and the towels still smelt like chlorine.
The bed was comfortable except for the sheets. The sheets make sleeping very difficult as everything is just loose once you un-tuck it. roll twice and then you will be sleeping on the mattress with no sheet covering it. That is same with the quilt. Would be good for some fitted sheets and covers.

And just one other thing was the channels on the television. The hotel is rated high but the TV lacks the new digital channels and you get is some cable shows like fox sports and discovery and nickoloden and the basic channels of 7 9 and 10.

other then the stated above, the hotel was great to stay. Kitchen was great and the supplied laundry and dryer was a great help too.

will stay again.. hopefully beds are better and more tv channels in room next time.
