What an amazing house! It was the perfect set up for our extended family! It is hard to find a house that can cater for so many adults comfortably and still have room for the kids. This was perfect for us with 8 adults and 2 kids there was plenty of room and great to have 2 kitchens and a few different living areas to spread out if we needed. Fabulous deck to relax and enjoy a drink and bbq & amazing pool and pool area - loved the cabana! The house was equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable and comfortable holiday getaway. Great location only a short stroll to the beach and very easy to get into town. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Ian and Di for providing such a lovely home away from home.

We have recently returned from a big family holiday in Australia for my daughter and son in laws wedding. Ten of us travelled from the UK and then thirteen of us up to Port Douglas for the wedding.
We booked Sundeck in Port Douglas through Ulysses Getaways and they were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. As we arrived at Sundeck instantly we fell in love with the place. As we walked into the property lovely gentle music was playing it was such a welcoming touch. The house is huge and accommodated 11 adults and two young children perfectly. With an 11 metre pool safely contained, plenty of outside seating and sun loungers and the added bonus of all sun towels provided we couldn’t have asked for anywhere better. We used the larger upstairs open plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas for mealtimes as it accommodated all of us easily. We had a fantastic 8 nights here and could easily have stayed much longer, we got complimentary late check out which was perfect for the 2 young children to have a sleep before we headed off to Melbourne. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone needing a large family house and would definitely recommend Johnny & Claire from Ulysses Getaways, thank you to them for looking after us.

Our family had a totally relaxing 7 night holiday. 'Sundeck' is close enough to the centre of Port Douglas and the beach is about a 5 minute walk.
The house is huge. Our son, daughter in law and 2 little children and our daughter, son in law, little daughter and baby we're all upstairs. What they loved most was that there was a bedroom off each of their rooms, allowing for the children to be close enough to them. The upstairs does have a separate kitchen but we tended to use the downstairs kitchen. My sister, husband and I were downstairs which allowed us to have our own space as well. The four bathrooms were great for such a large family. The outside entertaining areas both up and downstairs allowed the family to relax and THE POOL, WOW, 11m. My only complaint was the water was cold from the rain that preceded us!!! But after a day it disappeared
