This restaurant has the best rainforest setting you could imagine. We had a beautiful lantern lit table along the edge. I had a flowering ginger growing right next to me and almost bowing over my table.. The fragrance was marvellous. The high backed chairs also give you a feeling of privacy. We chose a la carte dining for our party of 4. Highlights were the prawn spring rolls and the pan fried coral trout with its delightful combination of crunch and sweetness from the orange sauce . We had a few spits of rain and within seconds a high canopy of canvas appeared as if by magic . Our friendly Welsh waiter offered us pashminas in case we were cold but fortunately NQ rain tends to be warm unlike the southern states. The dessert menu offered classical fare such as creme brûlée and chocolate fondant . There is a good reason why dishes like this have been on menus for decades and the beautiful preparation and presentation at nautilus reminds why we still love our old favourites. Nautilus is a total dining experience. Very romantic.
