Had a late night visit for cake and coffee, the atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. Great value for money, free wifi, seating facing the street adds to the atmosphere.
Gluten free cakes, very accommodating
You must go to the toilet to see the view !! It really is something else

We had several superb dinners at the Zinc, including last New years eve. The quality of the Food and the experience of the whole staff is outstanding. We can´t wait to be back in November. A must eat is the twice cooked goat cheese souffle...

This restaurant is one of the more upmarket options in Port Douglas but not the most expensive at all. It is at the quieter end of the main street and therefore feels a bit more relaxed than some of the busier nightlife at the northern end. The service is excellent with friendly staff. We had the barramundi main and a spaghetti main and enjoyed both dishes, although the barramundi wasn't the best we had in Port Douglas, it was still great. The meals were a good size and the side dishes generous (we didn't have entrees). This is a good option if you are staying at the south end of town as it saves the walk along the main street. They also offer free wifi if you are eating / drinking there (free wifi is not that common in Port Douglas so connected travellers take note). Zinc also does a nice iced chocolate which is a perfect accompaniment to whiling away a hot afternoon writing up your TripAdvisor reviews!

This place was open a little later than the others when we were out looking for a drink and dessert. Great service. Rochelle behind the bar was super friendly and made us feel very welcome, We went back for another drink a few days later. Bar manager Terry took the time to chat with us about living in FNQ and answered all our questions. It's always kind when locals take the time to chat to the punters. We didn't eat there, but the cocktails we drank were delicious. The menu looked amazing too. Would definitely recommend.

Average food, average service, average price (except for drinks, which seemed expensive). There were other restaurants that we enjoyed more.
