this really is the best place in Port Douglas to eat - make sure you have a reservation. I had the pasta with crayfish and chili for dinner and this was truly the best I have eaten in a long time. I still tell my boyfriend I need to go back so we can eat it all again.
Please be aware that this is not a really cheap please to dine out but from point of view, worth it.

Booked for Saturday night early in the week. service was nice but a bit 'wham bam'. Was asked if we were ready to order five times within ten minutes of arriving. Duck pate entrée was very tasty. Wife liked her salmon. Barramundi was a bad choice. came in a mush with mayo, miso and noodles. Could not taste the fish. waitress was not bothered. Paid $150 bill and then left.

Salsa looks like a cafe . The sign writing and staff uniforms give no idea of the standard of food about to arrive . We had lunch .... We chose two of their specials .... Wow ! And the cocktail I had too ....
Service was unpretentious and excellent. Go there.

Fantastic meals, child friendly. Very fast too so if you have a child or are in a hurry it is perfect. Didn't have to make a booking but i imagine you would in high season.

We absolutely loved the meal we had at Salsa. The entree was to die for! Cant remember what it was called but the flavours and presentation were amazing. The staff were great and the setting was pleasant. You definitely need to book and make sure you put the aeroguard on before you go. This is a must do if you are visiting Port Douglas.
