I was in the mood for a fish curry, checked out the reviews and landed here - and yes it was awesome. Hubby enjoyed his fish meal too (forgot what he had). I must also make special mention of the oyster mix entree we had - 3 different types of toppings and all amazing (one with cheese and a prawn, another with a nim jam type taste). Enjoyed this meal very much!

ahhh...Mohan's famous fish curry strikes again.
It's lovely to see another fan added to his little entourage. He will be most humbled.
Thank you!

Me and my partner really enjoyed the meal we had here. To start we had the Tofu which was raw salmon and tuna (really nice) then for main I had the risotto which was the best risotto I have ever had! My partner had the tuna steak and really enjoyed that. I would advise that you ask upon visit to sit on the edge of the deck near the sea for the best views.
We was served by a lovely french waitress who could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and recommendations to other guests to request an absolute waterfront table if possible. It truly adds a whole different dimension to your dining experience when you can literally see the live fish below you :)

We were a party of six so decided to book ahead as we had heard, and read, how popular this place is. When we arrived at six thirty, our booked time, the person who greeted us showed us to our table and then told us that they wanted the table back by eight. At no time, when booking were we told that they have a two sitting policy on certain nights. After some discussion in which we pointed out that we were not told of the policy and that we were not prepared to rush our meal to comply they allowed us to stay at our table past eight. Had the restaurant been full then I could have understood a bit more but it clearly wasn't and never was during our time there. The food was very enjoyable especially the trout but felt the crispy Barra was a very small fish for the price.
Overall, the setting is great, the service was very good, and the food was ok but there are better places to eat in Port Douglas in my opinion at the same or better price

This restaurant quickly became a firm favourite of ours on our recent visit to Port Douglas. A local told us about it and how good it was and they weren't wrong!
It is actually built on the Inlet and at sunset is quite a lovely setting to eat ones evening meal.
The service was really exceptional. Our waitress, a French lady, was very attentive and looked after us really well without being intrusive.
The food really lived up to its reputation. I had the Seafood Marinara and my husband had the Tasmanian Angus Eye Fillet (we are Tasmanian) both meals did not disappoint. The cap it off we opted for a shared desert. We shared the OTI Mars Bar Sundae, how naughty, how decadent but we loved it.
We heartily recommend On the Inlet to Port Douglas visitors. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Hello Linda,
thank you for your lovely feedback.
We are so pleased to hear we became one of your favourite local restaurants.

I'm dreaming of the Mars Bar Sundae right now....feeling like a little slice of that decadence!

Lovely relaxed setting, good cocktails but the seafood was the best we had in PD. The calamari was to die for (we will be back just for that). Crispy Barra and trout, also sensational. Service was great, thanks Steve! Will be recommending to all our mates heading up.
