We dined here on our last night in Port Douglas as a treat as the prices are fairly expensive.
We arrived at 7 and were seated immediately, unfortunately it was dark by then so no views of the water. We asked for drinking water, which took a long time to come, service was slow and not personal at all. Menus plonked on table and disinterested waitress looked like she had better things to do. For the prices charged we would have expected better service. However we noted the service was lacking in quite a few places we went to so we think it might just be the more relaxed Queensland vibe. Also a lot of the staff are backpacker type, on working holiday visas.
The food when it came was fantastic. We had mussels which were delicious, and it was a generous size for an entree. Followed by spaghetti marinara. We would recommend this dish, it was great. Quality fresh seafood and plenty of it. Generous serve again and good value for the $35 price tag. The wine list was fairly good, quite a selection to choose from.
Overall we were quite happy, and would recommend it.

We went 13 August and our experience was 'very ordinary'. The cost for our meal $122 approx with 1 beer and entre and main for 2 people - seems the going price in PD. My entre was the mussels and prawns. Prawns were rubbery although scollops were tender. I also had the coral trout with potatoes and asparagas as a previous reviewer and the fish was overcooked also the potatoes - it would appear there is inconsistencies in cooking.. My husband's meal was the muscles/pippies and fish of the day which was better. Overall a disappointing experience and we decided it was not a place you could recommend to friends as a must place to eat. . Try somewhere else.

Had dinner here on last nite in PD. We had late dinner on the Friday nite we were surprised how quiet it was apparently we had missed the early crowds. I started with a mango daiquiri which was delicious and set a great tone for the evening. The musssels and pippies entree were full of beautiful flavours followed by the coral trout which was cooked perfectly with asparagus and potatoes i was not sharing with my husband no matter how many times he asked. Finally for dessert i had to try the mars bars sundae and it left a lasting impression. Young attentive staff. Cost of meal pretty much what we had expected and comparable to similiar restaurants at home but did think wine prices were high but that seemed a recurring thing in PD. We enjoyed our evening it a great way to finish the holiday.

We have been here before but we had a very bad experience this time. The French girl who served us was rudeness personified. She flung the menus at as. Got our order wrong when we asked if the Calamari listed on the Entrée menu could be ordered as a Main course. She said Yes. We got Entrée not main. We spoke to the management and told them. They said normally she is good but has had a bad day. That is not the customers problem or expectation.

It was pricey but well worth it. Best to make reservations and ask your wait staff for recommendations.
