My husband and I recently dined at On the Inlet. We arrived early to see the groper feeding but it didn't make an appearance when we were there. We enjoyed a couple of great cocktails before deciding on the seafood platter. It was by far the most impressive seafood platter I've ever eaten - everything was super fresh and the mud crab was perfect. Great spot, friendly staff and fantastic food and drinks.

This restaurant is in a fantastic location, overlooking the water with the rainforest in the distance. Seafood is fresh and delicious - my recommendation is the crispy skinned fish, and the tasting plate is also great. We came to Port Douglas for just a short stay and ate here a few times. The staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect place to sit back and relax, sip a cocktail (or 2!) and watch the sunset.

We ate here on our last night in Port Douglas. The food was very good, expensive but then the whole of Australia is for us Brits! I loved the position of the restaurant as per the name 'On the Inlet' and our table was right by the water. We watched the thousands of bats fly over on their way to the rainforest before tucking into our tasty meal.

Loved this location, very relaxing with the water so close. The food was lovely too, with plenty of seafood choices. The service was excellent with staff being very helpful and attentive. Worth going, even if just for a drink,

Best prawns I've had! They server them between 3.30-5.30 and they are delicious. You could also see the feeding of "George the Groper" on certain days.

Food is lovely, I've been there on both my trips to Port Douglas and have enjoyed dining there. Staff could be a little friendlier though. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience.
