Went for a special birthday dinner with four adults and four teenagers and had a wonderful evening. The staff were busy but spent time at the table explaining the menu and talking. While it was expensive it was well worth the money. Food was tasty, plentiful and incredibly flavoursome. Great night out.

On the Inlet is in a fabulous location right on the inlet (as the name suggests). At 4.30pm they feed George the Groper from the Groper bar - but you need to get there much earlier than this to get a good viewing position. A great spot for a sunset cocktail. The restaurant itself is very casual. Reasonable food at a reasonable price - nothing to write home about. Worth having a drink at the Groper Bar on sunset though.

Good value for $20 the river views are to die for especially as the sun descending and the large yachts and pleasure boats returning from the Reef to the harbour. Plus the restaurant has a local attraction for the kids with a large groper being feed about the same time as kids are ready for for their tea.
The finger was delicious and the menu looked interesting.

Ask for the specials, they know what's best for you :-) we ordered fish of the day and got this great fish with caramelised skin, deep fried but not oily at all!! Really good! And if you order chilled prawns, instead of throwing out the skin/bone, we can feed the fish in the sea - close to the bar! That was a lot of fun, an added bonus. The food is greatttt...!!! Make sure you book as it's always packed!
