The food standard was excellent with a good range available. The staff were very good and prompt with their service. The prices were very reasonable. I will come back to eat here when I am next in town.

Visited the courthouse for tea, the chilli cheese bread is awesome as was my steak. The meals came rather quickly.
The local ginger cat is also very friendly !

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Court House bistro and had a table looking out over the park to the water. Huge meals and great value

Found our own table and menus. No table service apart from the delivery of meals we had to go downstairs to order. Food was by and large ok. Steak was cooked to satisfaction. Kangaroo promised much but was very tough. Barramundi with Asian Salad was pleasant.

This is a pub / eatery that also often has live music - hard to say if it should be here or in restaurants - I am reviewing this as a restaurant not an attraction. We had a simple pub meal here early in the evening and were impressed by the value for money and the quality of the food for the price. The daily specials were worth eating - we had the Tuesday T-Bone, which was a fairly thin piece of steak but nicely done, tasty and the whole meal was generous and good for the $15 or so I paid for it - we were happy. We also had the Thai Beef Salad, which was full price but a generous serve. The sauce was tasty but there was too much and it overpowered the dish, which was unfortunate because with a little less sauce it would have been great. Still, overall a good dining option while in Port Douglas, and of course often with entertainment to go with it.
