“Nice, casual family place to stay”

This is a nice complex of apartments in a garden setting with 3 separate pools. We were 2 couples sharing a 2 bedroom villa which was comfortable and clean. A good kitchen, laundry and upstairs, downstairs bathrooms was ideal for the 4 of us. It's a solid walk into central PD and we seemed to drive most times to get there. This would be a good holiday stop for families with young children you have your own kitchen and the complex restaurant seemed well used (we didn't eat here).

Whilst it was a little out of the town, as a resort hotel it was great. We had a two bedroomed apartment with lounge, kitchen , two bathrooms and a laundry. The laundry was wonderful as we were two weeks into a long trip. The staff were not only courteous but also very helpful. The restaurant served good uncomplicated food. Only problem for us was Wi-Fi which had a firewall that prevented us getting any emails at all!!

This resort is about a 10 minute drive out of the town of Port Douglas and courtesy buses which call in at all the hotels come about every 15 minutes. I always thought 'courtesy' meant free but in this case you have to pay $5 into the town and $5 out; there is a deal of $13 a day and other ones for longer stays. This is a well laid out resort in a village style. We were fortunate enough to have one of the refurbished villas which was clean, modern with two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bed that would have held four! It had all amenities that you would expect and was situated very near to the reception area. One downside was that the lounge furniture was not particularly comfortable but this is just being picky. There was no dedicated reception area and at the time we were there you checked in at the bar where there was a man who was under pressure trying to cope with phone, people checking in, booking tours and serving refreshments. Breakfast was buffet style. We did have a meal on the first evening we arrived which was excellent. The main swimming pool off the reception area was small and I would imagine would become very overcrowded at peak times, however, there was a wonderful pool for doing lengths. We had a great stay and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the refurbished units which are modern, clean and beautifully done.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa that was clean. There was plenty of room but would have enjoyed better living room setting. The tv upstairs was only for DVD. The tv down stairs was nice. Internet connection was via Ethernet and we had to get a cable from the front desk to get it started. The washing machine did not work however they did give us access to another villa to do our laundry. We also asked for a working kettle since the one in the villa did not and were brought a new one very quickly. The best part was the main pool! Very well kept and relaxing. The office staff was generally nice but the wifi in the lobby was very difficult to use and slow. Overall average to good place for the money.

Room Tip: Villas are really far from main area.

We stayed here about halfway through our 5 week trip. It was a very pleasant surprise. The villa had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and sitting room as well as 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. It was fairly near the pool. It was excellent!
The hotel dining room was very small and you had to book early for dinner or you could be turned away even if it wasn't full. The staff were extremenly courteous and helpful.
When we arrived late at night we lugged our suitcases upstairs to reception and then had to lug them down again when we were sent off into the night to find our chalet in the pitch dark. It took us some time and even after we got in the front door we had to turn on our phones to give us enough light to find the switches. It was not a good beginning to our stay!!
There is another hotel 5 minutes down the road which is good for a drink and meal. We were delighted to find we were within a 5 minute walk of a wonderful beach. The shuttle buses to Port Douglas were fairly frequent. Port Douglas itself was wonderful.

We stayed here for 5 nights in March. When we arrived it took some time before we were able to check in. Everything else about our stay was great. We ate in the restaurant, Drank by the pool and loved our room.

My family of 2 adults & 1 child travelled to this hotel over xmas 2012.
Our 2 bedroom villa was very spacious and very well equipped with a great sized kitchen complete with everything we needed, a great sized laundry also complete with everything we needed including washing powder and iron and 2 bathrooms with showers conveniently located upstairs AND downstairs.
The bedrooms were spacious too with the master bedroom having a queen bed and mirrored wardrobes and large balcony outside.
The 2nd bedroom had 2 single beds and mirrored wardrobes also.
The living area had a flat screen tv on the wall, a dvd player and an Ipod dock.

The pool area was beautifully maintained and the kids just loved the cave/waterfall feature.

The reastaurant for daily buffet breakfast was very satisfactory and the staff were friendly and helpful :)

Will definitely be taking a return trip here again one day !!!

Room Tip: Try to ask for a room away from the main entrance as courtesy buses do tend to rush in too fast for...
