We recently (my partner and I) spent 5 nights in this establishment. 6th August 2013. I had not been to Port Douglas before and had only heard how beautiful it was. The staff at this Resort were amazingly helpful, each one spoke with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. My partner played golf at Paradise Links (quite pricey) but a stunning course so a 'must do' for any keen golfer. Clubs can also be rented from reception. Bikes are also available to rent. Pools 'a plenty' with one heated. 10 minute (if that) walk to the beach. WiFi was sadly an issue in rooms. The room was of adequate size, considering we weren't staying in it during the day, we did not require a large space. Very comfortable bed. Carpet sadly stained and could do with replacing. Bathroom had a deep shower bath and plenty of hot (great flow) water. Only downside here was there were no fans in the bathrooms, so I had to de-mist the mirror with the hairdryer continually and our windows were not able to be opened for ventilation. Television and DVD player provided and coffee and tea making facilities. Quiet and peaceful with our own balcony overlooking the garden & pool area (which was devine). BBQ facilties (electric) under the gazebo - unfortunately very, very slow to heat up and difficult to retain the heat. Would have liked if coffee/tea making facilities were available there (nice to go with the cooked breakfasts). Close to local shops, 10 or so minute drive into Port Douglas. I would definitely return to this stunning venue, as the service and the ambiance were equally amazing. A credit to the owners and staff who work there. Thanks everyone :-)

Room Tip: We stayed in 61/1 upstairs. Overlooks the tropical garden and you have a slight view of the pool.

Thanks TakSim for the constructive positive review. 2 points and you are correct, stupid builders put all hotel rooms on an extractor fan that does 4 bathrooms at a time, even though you cannot hear or see them they run 24/7, costs us a fortune in electricity. As you were aware we have upgraded TV's , lounge suites and next year carpets will be replaced, hope you can get back to see that done.

14 of us stayed in 2 houses - One 4 bdrm and another 3 bdrm villa. Both extremely well appointed and furnished well. Very comfortable and both looked over the amazingly well groomed golf course. So close to IGA (15 min walk or hire a bike from hotel). The shuttle buses run every 15 mins. If you are staying for a week or more than 2-3 days it is worthwhile buying a pass for the no. of days you are staying. Unlimited rides into town and to other places make it cheaper. I mainly rode on the bike into town and other places via the beautiful compact beach or the bike path which takes you all the way into PD.
Our villa was just opposite the small pool which was nice and heated.
The managers, JC, Johnny and Emma were always ready to help with any enquiries or help book trips. Don't miss the Daintree adventure.

Room Tip: Villa no. 4 (with 4 bedrooms) was excellent.

Hi JKE, Glad you and the girls had a great stay. The comments are appreciated, just a word of advice, check with us at reception before buying a weekly shuttle pass. One company is very regular and reliable, the other is not. Just check and we will advise. Hopefully we will see you back in Port next time somebody is having a special birthday. Stay well - JC

We arrived in port Douglas for the first time not knowing what to expect . This resort is fantastic , clean rooms , plenty of space , great pool , BBQ area which we used . The staff were faultless and helped us first timers with what to and when . it was fully booked but everyone seemed polite and quiet no noisy neighbours . , there is a lot of choice in accommodation here , but we wouldn't bother looking elsewhere , we would come back in a heartbeat . We are seriously considering a 3 room suite for next yr and brining our grown up children and partners .

Glad you enjoyed your stay, thanks for the great comments. We would love to be able to offer free wifi in the rooms but are still stuck with an old contract when we purchased the property. As mentioned there is free wifi at reception and around the pool. Look forwarded to welcoming you back.

Stayed in a 3BR apartment for 8 nights in this beautiful resort. Very huge 2 story apartment with plenty of space and lights. Fully equipped kitchen. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. There are bikes that can be rented at the reception for $12 half day and $18 for whole day.

The only set back is there's no free wifi in the apartment but they have free in the reception. If you want convenience, you can have a wifi in your own apartment but with charge (Azure).

There are 2 pools in 2 different locations but small but these are ok for kids.

The local bus will also stop in this resort so there are no worries for the transportation in going to and from town. You can also opt to walk or bike to and from town in the 4 mile beach which is located just minutes from this resort by foot.

Staffs are friendly and helpful in making suggestions and recommendations for tour destinations and routes within the area. I feel that they were making their best to give you a nice and memorable stay. Thank you guys! :)

To John, Emma Jonnie Silvia, Thank you for making our stay in Port Douglas such a memorial 10 days. The resort its self was more that excellent very well cared for with the apartment's in beautiful condition. The gardens are indeed immaculate, the swimming pools very clean. Nothing was a problem or to much trouble. The eating spots John recommended were great and indeed we went to the Beach Shack on several occasions. Highly recommended.
